Resources: The Center For Green Schools K-12: http://bit.ly/YBvjnV Contest Guidelines: - Do not include the studentʼs or schoolʼs name within the artwork (artwork that contains school or studentsʼ names will be disqualified) - Create a picture to show what makes your school green or how your school could be green - Use paper or cardstock up to 12 x 18 - Any medium can be used: paint, crayons, pencil, collage, photos, stencils, etc. - We encourage the use of recycled paper - Please no glitter, copyright, or trademark images Judging Criteria: - Concept: Does it communicate a green theme or message? - Creativity: Is the art original and unique? - Quality: Is there effective use of materials? Deadline & Submission: DEADLINE: March 31, 2018 11:59 PM Submissions by email or regular mail. My Green SchoolArt Contest 2018

Hosted by the U.S. Green Building CouNCil - Detroit

8th Annual My Green School Art ContestThe mission of the USGBC is healthy, efficient and equitable buildings and communities for all. Schools and their student community are a vital part of this work. We invite innovative students to use art to demonstrate ways in which their school could become more green!

Who Can Enter:Any child in a Michigan School (public or private) or homeschool program, grades K-5.

Semi-Finalists:3 Semi-Finalists from each grade K-5 will be invited to a celebration for final judging and awarded a participation certificate and prizes.

Top Finalists:1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Winners from each grade will be honored at the MI Earth Day Fest in Rochester, MI on April 20-22. Artwork will be displayed at both the MI Earth Day Fest and in a traveling art show including the Michigan Energy Fair and Next Energy.

Judged By:Local artists, educators and USGBC Detroit Green Schools Committee Representatives
