THE GIRL WITH THE BLONDE HAIRA new meaning of ‘bad hair day’

SUB-GENRE J-HORROR- Focusing on the theme of hair and also creating an eerie atmosphere and suspense.

TARGET AUDIENCE Teenagers especially teenage girls, the main themes I will be exploring is the pressure and excessive concern with appearance amongst teenage girls and also the effects of bullying. I will also be exploring stereotypes such as the ‘dumb blonde’ and further linking hair with intelligence. I will also make sure the follow conventions of horror films such as having stock characters e.g. the final girl.

ANTAGONISTThe antagonist is a nerdy blonde girl who is continuously bullied by a group of popular girls that go to her school. Despite all the negativity in her life she is comforted by her long, blonde hair which she believes gives her strength. One day the group of girls cut off her hair as joke which later results in her suicide. She then seeks revenge from the grave.
