Myself

My name is Samuel and I’m 16 years old.I can say I’m outgoing and responsible. But I’m extremely impatient and stubborn.I have a brother and a sister and I don’t have any pet because I don’t like taking care of animals. My favorite place at home is my bedroom. It’s a place where I rest and I watch movies or I play videogames.

I pratise rugby, it’s my passion. I can’t live without going to the beach because I love scuba-diving and I’m a surfing enthusiast !

My rugby’s team ,the BRUC, won last year, the final of the Guadeloupian tournament !

Best of all, I don’t like going to school in the morning.But I really love watching L’Equipe 21 or Mtv channels on my Tv in the evenings.Before going to bed I always watch videos about sports and I read a book.

I’m in scientific eleventh grade at the High school, Jardin d’Essai in Abymes in Guadeloupe.

My Country

Guadeloupe, also called Karukera(The island with beautiful waters) is located in the West Indies, in the Northern hemisphere at 16°N/61°W.Our political capital is Basse-Terre and the economic capital is Pointe-à-Pitre.Guadeloupe our island lies between the Atlantic Ocean to the East and the Caribbean Sean to the West.It’s north of Dominica and south of Montserrat and Antigua.The Guadeloupe archipelago is composed of five islands which are Basse-Terre,Grande-Terre,La Désirade,Marie-Galante and Les Saintes. In our island we have a tropical climate.Temperatures are generally , go from 68.0°F to 86.0°F.

We also have two seasons: a dry season and a rain season.It never snows in Guadeloupe.We never have tornadoes but we occasionally experience hurricanes.Then Grande-terre and Basse-Terre are twin islands.Basse-Terre is a volcanic mountainous island whereas Grande-Terre is a limestone plateau.

In and in the vicinity of our beautiful island we can find green lizards, mongoose,iguanas,sperm whales,turtles and raccoons.Futhermore , we have two types of vegetation , in Basse-Terre,we have a tropical rain forest whereas in Grande-Terre , we have a tropical dry forest .

So, we have a wonderful island with beautiful beaches, rivers ,and an amazing climate thanks to the Trade winds.
