By asking the genre of music its helps me to target the most popular music, I can include this in my magazine, this means I can attract a higher amount of buyers. I showed this through using a bar graph as it made the most popular genre standout easily.

This is an important question because I need to know how often to produce a magazine. In my survey none of the people I questioned bought a magazine daily or weekly, this means it would be a bad idea for me to produce a magazine that prints more than monthly.

I asked what appeals most to people when buying a magazine. This is very important because I can then use the appeal to get a large audience of readers. From my results I can see that the artists on the front cover is most important therefore I can get maximum sales.

I asked this question so interlink with the question of ‘how often people buy magazines’. By finding out how much they spend a month I can work out a maximum price people are willing to spend, to therefore get maximum profit. Two thirds of the people I asked spent under £10 a month, I can calculate my sales cost from this.

By asking this it lets me know whether articles, offers and ticket competitions are a good idea for my magazine. Most of the people I talked to didn’t go to concerts very often so I wouldn’t need to include too much about concerts.

Buy asking this question I can find out the best way to advertise the magazine for maximum exposure. Most of the people I asked watches music on the internet, this means it would be best to advertise on the web. I was expecting this result as our generation use the internet daily.

I wanted to find out what the public wanted from their magazine. A high percent of them wanted to read exclusive interviews from artists. This results surprised me as I thought pictures would capture peoples interests more. I now know that advertising interviews on my front cover is a good idea.

I was surprised that the results were fairly even. I asked this question to find out where it would be best to advertise my magazine. I expected that advertising on music downloads sites would be the best idea. By looking at these results I know to advertise in a wide range of places.

I needed this question to find out the best website to advertise my magazine. I expected that ‘facebook’ would be the most popular website with this generation. This means I know to target ‘facebook’ as my main advertisement for my target age group.
