SMART School Innovation
“Interactive whiteboards are the future of educational strategies, and without proper adoption of these and other technology tools, teachers are doomed to become dinosaurs in their practices” (Wolpert, Gawron).
My Plan

Implementation
Going grassroots- try to have teachers that are excited about technology and are leaders in the school advocate for the innovation
Teachers would receive professional development AND be given time to explore the technology on their own and with their grade levels
Grade-level teams would create lessons and assessments that engage students and promote guided development
Innovation Assessment
The school would become the pilot program for all others in the district
Students would be measured on their growth and progress throughout the year with regards to the DCAS tests
EOY data would be analyzed and compared to previous years and other school in the district
