• The community sends over 6,000 dogs and cats to the Lowndes county animal shelter each year.
• And only 15 % of those animals are adopted or claimed by their owners.
• In Lowndes County last year more than 5,000 homeless dogs and cats were euthanized.

To Adopt a Pet
• To adopt a new pet or claim a lost pet, please come:
• Tuesday through Friday 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.• Saturday 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.• Closed Sundays and Mondays
• To drop off an animal please come:• 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, 7 days a week
