My vision of a

World of Technology

The importance of technology in our society is huge. We use it in communications, entertainment, industry, scientific research, war, ...

If today we use technology at all the time, in the future it will be with us in every place.

In this work I will talk about my vision of a world where technology makes our lives easier and more comfortable.

This is my Vision of a World of Technology

From vehicles to smartphones, technology is becoming more advanced. Scientists and engineers are creating a new wave of technological devices that will change our lives forever.

I imagine a world where I don’t have to go to the supermarket, to the middle of the “confusion” to buy what I need, a world where it will be more easy to communicate with people from the other side of the world.

I imagine a world where I can use my desk as a touchscreen computer. A world where almost everything is a touchscreen, from credit cards to the bus stop map.

I think that the growing population is one of the reasons that lead to this outstanding technological development. Our society is becoming more consumer, so the technology market is becoming more competitive and advanced.

In the last years, I saw amazing gadgets that in my opinion can change the way we live. For example, the Google® Smart Glasses, are a gadget that we are used to see in many sci-fi films, so I think that it can become very popular.

Today and Tomorrow

We use smartphones all the time, and thanks to that, they are becoming more innovative and advanced.

Tomorrow’s smartphones will be more useful, more interactive and, in some cases, more strange (for example, the transparent phone).

Engineers are creating new interaction systems that will allow our smartphone to interact with many other systems, such as “touchscreen tables”, bus stop maps, shops and banks software's,...

Engineers are also creating a new wave of vehicles, more secure and more comfortable. I have two examples: the BMW® i8 Concept and the Airbus® Future Airliner Concept.

The i8 is an advanced electric car, designed to be an eco-friendly vehicle. I think that it’s design in an prevision of how futuristic cars will look like.

The Future Airliner it’s a mind-blowing sophisticated airliner. It is made of new materials and it uses a lot of outstanding gadgets to provide passengers a more comfortable flight. From holograms to a panoramic view, the aviation future passes through an airplane like this one.

Medicine

If we look to the last century, medicine was evolved in a spectacular way, specially due to the use of technology. For example, in 1958, it was implanted the first heart pacemaker. In 2000, the Da Vinci surgical system was introduced.

This new technologies will help doctors saving more lives and help scientists in their research for some diseases remedies.

Da Vinci Surgical System®

The Da Vinci is a surgical robot created by the american company Intuitive Surgical®. It was designed to perform complex surgeries with precision and accuracy, with a minimally invasive approach.

It is controlled by a surgeon, which operates it from a console.

Today, there are more than 2000 operational Da Vinci’s all around the globe, which had already performed about 200 000 surgeries.

To conclude, I think that technology will evolve in a really spectacular way.

When I look back in time and compare what we had some years ago to the technology that we have today and those futuristic gadgets that we see every day, for example, in the internet, I ask myself:

How did we get so advanced?How will be our lives in a world where technology reigns supreme?
