Myerson Flexible Materials Course at Oakview Restorations, Saunderton

Registration is at 8.45am and the course will commence promptly at 9.00am and finish at 4.00pm

Educational Aims and Objectives

There will be a general introduction into thermoplastic materials, explaining their properties and uses. The course will provide detailed information on the different Myerson materials and on the tools and equipment. Roy will explain the differences to other flexible materials on the market and cover the advantages of using Myerson thermoplastics. The delegate will get a chance to operate the HotShotElite handheld injector and familiarize himself with the production of flexible clasps. He will also guide you step-by-step through the creation of a flexible denture including the investing process and demonstrating the Flex Press injection system.

Anticipated Educational Outcomes

Delegates will gain knowledge in how to produce a flexible clasp and will learn about the procedures of using the HotSHotElite and FlexPress equipment.

Quality Control and Documentary Proof

A course evaluation form which must be completed by each delegate and logged within our quality management system to qualify as verifiable CPD in accordance with GDC guidelines.

Myerson Flexible Materials Course at Oakview Restorations, Saunderton

With a true passion for dentistry from an early age, Roy Davies began his studies in prosthetics at Llandaff College in Wales. He then gained experience from working with a number of private laboratories before working with a specialist prosthetics dentist for 15 years during which time he gained invaluable experience within the industry.

Roy then went on to work directly for Myerson UK & Europe as Technical Consultant and Trainer. He continues to travel extensively

across Europe, Russia and the USA presenting his specialist courses and renowned “True-to-Life” denture seminars. Roy frequently submits articles for publications such as The Dental Lab Journal, Dental Technologies (Europe) and Private Dental Laboratory.

Whilst continuing with his lecturing, Roy also works at Oakview Restorations heading up their in-house prosthetics department, and will finish his finals as a Clinical Dental Technician (CDT) in June 2015.
