MyHousing is your online source for information
related to your housing arrangements . Through
MyHousing and the Returning Student Housing
Application , you will be able to sign the housing
agreement , edit your personal preferences , make
room and roommate requests and view your
meal plan .
As a current student , you have access to
MyHousing through FoxLink . Under the “Student”
tab in the right-hand corner , you will f ind the
link to MyHousing . I f you can ’t log in and you
think you should be able to , please contact the
Office of Residential Life & Explorations for
assistance .
1. Between March 23rd and April 12th at midnight, log into FoxLink. Click the "Student" tab and select
"Student Life." In the top right-hand corner, you will find the link to My Housing which will bring you to
your Self Service page.
2. Under "Application" at the top, select "Returning Student Housing Application."
3. Provide the information as prompted on the application screens, following the “next” or “continue”
buttons through the pages. When complete, remember to click “complete application” to submit your
housing application.
P H A S E 1 : A P P L I C A T I O N
P H A S E 2 : R O O M M A T E S E L E C T I O N
ONLY after you have submitted your Returning Student Housing Application, you will be
eligible to participate in roommate selection.
To request a specific roommate:
1. Log into Self Service (instructions found in Phase 1) after March 23rd (make sure that you
have done the Returning Student Housing Application in phase 1!). At the top of the screen,
select “Room Selection” then “Roommates/Suitemates” This will bring you to the
“Roommate Requests” page.
2. You can search for your roommates by name or email.
3. Once you find your desired roommate, click “Request This Student.” The assignment
system will immediately send an email (Rollins Email account) to the student(s) you have
requested, letting them know that you have requested them as a roommate/apartment-
mate(s). Since only MUTUAL requests can be considered, the student(s) you requested MUST
have submitted a housing application as well and will have to do the same thing by logging
into their MyHousing account and requesting you.
4. Confirm that the name(s) you entered appear under "Roommate Requests.”
P H A S E 2 : R O O M M A T E S E L E C T I O N
Important Note: Please remember that roommate requests must be mutual (you
must request each other) in order for the auto assign system to assign you
together. If the request is NOT mutual, you will see that you have an unmatched
student group in your “Roommate Requests.” If this happens, contact your
requested roommates and confirm that they have requested you as a roommate
as well. Also, remember that prospective roommates MUST have completed the
Returning Student Housing Application online process.
Additionally, keep in mind that during the room selection process, you will only be
able to view rooms as big as your room selection group. For example, if you are in
a group of 4 total students, you will only be able to view Sutton 2 Bedroom
Apartments or Lakeside Apartments during your selection time. Likewise, if you
are in a roommate group of 2 people total, you will only be able to see Holt or
Cross double rooms.
P H A S E 3 : R O O M S E L E C T I O N
During the room selection process, any person in your group can select your group’s future
assignment. Please designate one person in the group to choose your room. The room
selection process will be based on the average of selection numbers for all members of a
roommate group and will be emailed on April 14th for those with Lakeside Priority and on
April 17th for the General Housing Selection process taking place on April 20th. Assignment
appointments are based on the local time in Winter Park, FL (Eastern), although you can
select your room from any computer that has internet access, even from abroad!
To select a room or apartment:
1. You will be assigned a Housing Selection time based on your roommate Selection Number
average for Wednesday night, April 15th. On the home screen in Self Service, all of your Room
Selection information is displayed. You can begin the Room Selection process at your Start
Time.
2. You can choose “Select a Room or Suite” from the Room Selection menu at the top of the
page.
3. To search for available rooms either before or during selection, enter your search criteria
using the drop down menus and click "Find Available Rooms". Again, MyHousing will only
show you the rooms you are eligible to select into based on the size of your roommate
group.
P H A S E 3 : R O O M S E L E C T I O N
4. Once your room selection time has started, you may begin searching available rooms by entering your
criteria and clicking the “Find Available Rooms” button.
5. Choose the room you would like by clicking "Select Room" and then click on the “I Agree - Submit My Room
Selection” button when you are certain about your selection. An email will be sent to each group members’
Rollins email address confirming your assignment. Remember, only ONE person per group can select the
room for the entire group and you should decide who that person is going to be prior to your selection time.
KEEP IN MIND: - If you have no roommates, it will only show you single rooms (Traditional singles and doubles are extremely
limited - have a backup plan in case you cannot get a traditional single or double!)
- You must have 4 roommates to see Sutton 4-person apartments Lakeside Apartments as an option
- If you are interested in being in a gender neutral room, one representative from your group will need to call
our office at your room selection time to be placed in your room with all of your roommates!
- If your pre-selected roommate group is large enough to select into an apartment (2 to 4 people per
roommate group), you will have the ability to select the entire apartment at once by clicking the Select Suite
button.
- If you choose an apartment in Sutton or Lakeside Apartments: The room selection is not confirmed until
each of the people in the roommate group is assigned to a bed and you click on the “Submit My Room
Selection” button. A roommate group should predetermine who is living where within the apartment (e.g. 2-
bedroom apartment: the larger bedroom triple A vs. the smaller bedroom double B) prior to the Room
Selection Process. If you are choosing a Lakeside apartment, click here for unit and floor plan information.
The halls available for selection during returning student housing selection will be:
Lakeside Neighborhood Sutton Place Apartments Cross Hall Holt Hall (312 beds in Fall 2020 and 184 more in Spring 2021)
*Pool and fitness center
scheduled to open in Spring
*These halls do not include all of the FSL Residential Organization/Pinehurst Residence Halls, which havetheir separate housing selection process! *If you are not able to select a room during the FSL or PinehurstHousing Selection Process and are required to live on campus, you will need to participate in thishousing selection process, otherwise you will be assigned to a random room on campus.*

FREQUENTLYASKEDQUESTIONS
How do I know when I
can pick my room?
Housing Selection numbers are based on your class standing and
current cumulative GPA. The first number will belong to the
senior, or rising senior, with the highest GPA. We will continue the
number sequence for all eligible students.
After roommate selection, the Housing Selection numbers will be
averaged for all students in a roommate group. For example, your
number is 89 and your roommate has a number 250. After
roommate selection, you will be assigned a Selection number of
169 with a corresponding Room Selection time. You will receive
your selection time on Tuesday, April 14th, 2020 if you have
Lakeside priority and will receive your selection time on April 17th
for all General Housing Selection students.
Only students with Lakeside Priority will be able to select each other in a roommate group and
will be able to select a room during Lakeside Housing Selection Night on April 15th.
Lakeside first priority will be given to the following group of students:
- Students currently in a Sutton 5 Person Apartment (all rising Juniors and Seniors)
- Students currently living off campus through the Rising Sophomore Housing Exemption
Application (all rising Juniors and Seniors)
- Students that lived in McKean during the 2018-2019 academic year (all rising Juniors and
Seniors)
If you have Lakeside priority but do not wish to live in Lakeside, simply do not select a room
during the Lakeside Housing Selection Night. You will receive your housing selection time on
Friday, April 17th for General Housing Selection Night on April 20th.

HOW DO I KNOW
WHAT ROOM NUMBER
TO CHOOSE?Click here to check out the Facilities website to view various
room types. Make sure you have plenty of alternatives. If you
only want a corner room with a lake view, for example, know
which halls and room numbers those rooms are. (Traditional
singles and doubles are extremely limited - have a backup
plan in case you cannot get a traditional single or double!)
Click here to check out more information about each of our
residence halls!
We will also be doing open houses in upper class halls, so
look out for that information!
WHO IS ALLOWED TO BE MY ROOMMATE?With the exception of Lakeside housing priority
restrictions, any enrolled and registered CLA students
can be roommates! Students are permitted to choose
their roommate based on who they will live best with,
regardless of gender, in all of our halls.
WHAT IF I DON’T GET MY FIRST CHOICE?Planning out options is very important! Talk with all of your potential roommates
about all of the scenarios they feel comfortable with in case your first choice isn’t
available. You may have to add or remove roommates throughout the process.
I WANT A TRADITIONAL SINGLE ORDOUBLE ROOM. WHAT IF THERE
ISN’T ONE AVAILABLE AT MY TIME?Traditional singles and doubles are extremely limited - have a backup plan in case you
cannot get a traditional single or double!
I WANT SOMEONE TO WALK ME THROUGH THE SELECTIONPROCESS ON SELECTION NIGHT - WHAT DO I DO?
Our office will be open and ready to help on both the Lakeside Housing Selection
Night on April 15th and on General Housing Selection Night on April 20th! Students
that wish to live in gender neutral housing will also have to call our office during their
selection time. At least one representative from your roommate group must reach out
to us.
WHAT IF I REQUESTED THE WRONG
ROOMTYPE ON MY HOUSING
APPLICATION?Not to worry! The selections made on your housing application are not binding. The
solitary factor that will determine which room-types you are able to view during your
assigned housing selection time, is the number of roommates you have matched with
in the system.
For example, if you have matched with three roommates in the system (giving you a
total of 4 people) you will only be able to see Sutton 4 person apartments and
Lakeside 4 person apartments. Whereas, if you don't match with anyone in the system,
you will only be able to see single rooms when you log in to housing selection.
I WANT A SINGLE ROOM IN LAKESIDE. DO I STILL NEED TOMATCH WITH ROOMMATES IN THE SYSTEM?
Yes! Please keep in mind that the singles in Lakeside are not traditional singles. They
are located within 4 person apartments. As a result, you will need to match with three
other roommates in the system in order to be able to see this as an option.
OOPS ! I FORGOT TO
PARTIC IPATE IN HOUSING
SELECTION ! WHAT DO I DO?
Anyone who is required to live on campus will be assigned to a
space whether or not they participate in the housing selection
process. So if you do not meet the requirements to live off
campus, it is in your best interest to participate so you can select
your own housing! If you are not required to live on campus and
decide later in the semester or over the summer that you would
like to live on campus, contact the Office of Residential Life &
Explorations at 407-646-2649 or at [email protected]

The Office of Residential Life & Explorations will be open during the application
and roommate selection period (Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm). Feel free to call

We will also have evening hours on Wednesday, April 15th during Lakeside
Housing Selection and also on Monday, April 20th during General Housing
Selection night from 5pm to 9pm.
