Tapalinga Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performer All students enjoyed the previously planned Aboriginal performer today. The school funded the learning incursion, supporting Aboriginal education. Asset Management Plumbers returned early Friday morning to fix the girls toilets. The girls’ toilets were locked on Friday and re-opened this morning. Thank you to the staff for the extra vigilance and monitoring of toilets whilst on playground duty. The big tree Tree pruners returned again early on Saturday morning to remove a large bough on our big tree, which was of fear of falling. Core value/social and emotional learning Last week students engaged with the Worry Woo character Fuddle, who could never decide what to do, thereby suffering anxiety. Stage One students are responding particularly well to the stories and characters and the message underpinning the text. Library books Please return Library books on Fridays. There will be borrowing this week (week 9) but NO borrowing on the last day of term Friday 3 July (week 10).

Skool Loop communication app The school has a communication app that may be used for a number of purposes such as instant messaging from the school to the community and to inform the school of a student absence. If reporting a student absence, it will be forwarded to our school email shortly thereafter. The absence can be signed with your finger on an iphone. Our school website is still active and receives important uploads from the Department of Education, which the communication app does not. The Skool Loop app may be downloaded for free on the app store for i-phones or via google play for androids.

Looking to the future….
To move the school to the supported MDM (Mobile Device
Management) solution Jamf the school will need to have the
following.
Apple Caching Server – As discussed this will assist with app deployment. At present the school does not have one. As of 5 May the caching server
Apple School Manager enrolment – As you already have a VPP enrolment we may be able to migrate it if it qualifies
Devices – The school may have to purchase new devices for iPads that cannot run iOS 12 or higher. All new iPads come bundled with a Jamf licence - iPad 32Gb
If the existing VPP account cannot be migrated a new enrolment
will need to be created. As of 5 May, the DoE are working with
Apple on a solution to this.
Jo has money in the budget $18500 for this project in our
budget.

All student toilets needed to be re-seated in the ground. Boys’
