Tracy Kellen’s rug hooking class has
received a great response! If you want to
learn rug hooking be sure to sign up soon!
The Crazy Quilters have changed their
meeting date. They are now meeting in the
shop on the 2nd Thursday of the month
from 7-9 pm. The group works on their
individual projects, shares ideas,
encourages and teaches each other. They
welcome new members (with or without
experience). Come by and see what's
going on.

Thanks to Jennifer our POS system is now
up and running. Among the many great
features we are excited to be able to start
a loyalty program for all of you. We have
outlined the program on page 6. We may

We were sorry to hear of the terrible car
accident Linda Hall’s husband has had. She
has cancelled all of her commitments for
the rest of the year. We will reschedule
her when she is available again.

Year of Savings Sale is just around the corner. It was so much fun last year - we
are printing even more coupon books for
2014. We’ll have a new selection of sale
fabrics, door prizes, munchies, gift with

Quilt It Quilting 101
At the end of the 3 sessions, you will have learned
the basic skills of quilt making: fabric selection,
rotary cutting, accurate piecing, adding borders, and
binding. Come to the first class prepared to
purchase your fabric and tools. 20% discount will be

Youth Sewing Block of the Month
We’ll be continuing with our block of the month through the end of the
year. If you haven’t started yet, we’re taking names to put together another
class! BYOM Class fee is $5.

Guest Instructor: Tracy Kellen Beginning Primitive Rug Hooking
Learn how to make hooked rugs with wool in the primitive
style like our ancestors did back in the 1800's. You will
make a 7 1/2" x 5" pumpkin that can be used as a trivet,
candle mat, or just as decoration. Supplies and lunch are
included in the cost of the class ($75)! All you will need to
bring is a 12 or 14” embroidery hoop and a pair of scissors.

Movie Night Quilt Label Works
Each quilt, garment, or gift that you make is a labor
of love. Why not add a label that is just as unique?

Call or stop in to sign up and pay for the class of your choice. Class fee is due when you register. Phone
registrations (701-433-7203) accepted only with a charge card payment.
The class supply list will be available when you register and pay for the class. Supplies are not included in the class
fee. Please have supplies purchased before class. Kits required are available at the store. BYOM means bring your
own machine. No photocopied patterns or books will be allowed in classes.
We consider your enrollment to be a commitment by you to take the class and we in turn make a commitment
to the instructor. No cancellations are allowed on classes. Thank you for not asking us to make exceptions.
Your sewing machine or serger must be in top working condition before you arrive at class. Students whose
equipment is not working properly disturb and slow down the class. We service all brands of machines and
sergers so come see us prior to the start of the class.
If you get together a group of 2 or more friends, we would be happy to setup a class date and time just for you.

Explore Your Sewing Machine
Explore the features and stitches of your new machine. You will stitch samples of the utility stitches, buttonhole(s)
and basic sewing techniques. No charge for machines purchased at Rae-Bon, $50 for others. BYOM

Introduction to Quilting on the Crown Jewel
The class will cover how to load your quilt onto the Crown Jewel Quilt Frame and do free motion quilting. You
will work one on one with the instructor to load your quilt top (no larger than 60" x 60") on the quilt frame. At
the completion of the class you will leave with a quilt ready to be bound. You will also need to bring backing that is
8" larger than the quilt top. We require thread and batting be purchased from Rae-Bon. Refresher class is required
if you have not rented in the last three months (fee $50).
$130 includes a set of zippers and a package of bobbins

Introduction to the Scan N’ Cut
Learn to cut various types of fabric with and without adhesive backing, create your own cut files, and draw seam
allowances. You will leave class with all the materials cut to assemble a 12” x 12” wall hanging and a better
understanding of how to use the Scan N’ Cut. $15 supply fee includes pattern and all materials to complete wall
hanging (except batting). Class instruction has no fee for those who have purchased their Scan N Cut at Rae-Bon.

Sewing Machine & Software Classes

Becky’s Bake Shop As chefs we are always looking for new recipes to try. We will bake
up quilts, bags, placemats, table runners, hotpads, and more using
precut fabrics. Join the fun for some calorie free baking! Come to
the monthly demo to pick up your recipe for the next project and
bring any questions you have about the previous month’s dish. Kits
will be available for some recipes. Come share your previous
month’s dish and a lucky chef will win a sweet treat from us. Cost of
the club is $60 for the year. You can still sign up and receive back
patterns.

Crazy Quilters Squared Join the Crazy Quilters Squared to work on handwork. No experience necessary, just a
desire to learn. The red door will be the only one open. No charge. sign up and receive back
patterns.

Create with Embroidery Learn a new machine embroidery technique each month through Anita
Goodesign video tutorials. Each video explains the project and step by
step how tos. You’ll receive a packet with the embroidery design needed
for the project and additional bonus designs ($60 value). You can
purchase a kit to complete the project. Cost is $15 and includes a
coupon for $5 off the next consecutive month. This day only Buy 1 Anita
Goodesign at 20% off or buy 2 get 1 free.

Cutting Up at Noon Join us over the noon hour for a quick demo of a new ruler (or maybe a
new product). You’re welcome to bring your own lunch or just stop in
and visit while you see our new item for the month. Door prizes,
contests, food-you never know what to expect each month!

Demo & Dessert We’ll provide some tasty desserts while you learn about new
products, machines, or fabrics that have arrived in the past month.
You’ll also be able to pick up your Party with Patrick pattern and see

PhD (projects half done) Study Hour Let’s make this the year to finish all those half done
projects! On Thursday, we’ll have the classroom available to
work on your projects. As an added incentive we’ll be giving
you 5% off for every project you complete up to 50% off a
regular priced item of $50 or less.

Stitcher’s Society Stitcher’s Society is a group for hand embroiders (beginners and those with experience).
Each month we’ll be learning new stitches and making gorgeous wool appliques on hexagons
(wool, cotton, or flannel backgrounds). At the end of the program, you can turn your
hexagons into a quilt or use them in smaller projects.
