NA VONU #29/19 Term 4 Wk 3, Monday 14th October, 2019 Ni sa bula vinaka TLC families. At assembly on Friday 11 October, Grades 3 and 4 helped TLC celebrate Fiji Day by re-enacting the 1874 signing of the Deed of Cession. Here are the thirteen chiefs with Ratu Seru Cakobau and Sir Hercules Robinson. To encourage independence and self-management, please provide the opportunity for your child to learn to pack and unpack a school bag; bring him/herself through the school gate and onto their classrooms; unpack bag and hang it on the hook, etc. One of the best ways to teach children a new skill is to: do everything for children do it with them watch them do it on their own let them do it on their own. School transport - I wonder if TLC is at a stage where some form of public or private car pooling can be arranged? A shared ride/cost in a taxi for children from same suburb e.g. Tamavua and/or Samabula; Muanikau and or Nasese? Send Mareta an email with your street name and we will look at the initial set-up of this if there is enough interest. A reminder - we are a’ water only to drink’ school. Processed, coloured, flavoured milk; apple juice; fruit juices contain a lot of added sugar - check the contents on the packaging. Thank you all for your continued support.
