Basic Requirements for all Study Abroad Interns 30 hours of service during the semester per unit
Equivalent to two hours per week, plus one hour at orientation
**PEER ADVISORS must commit to 60 hours of service (2 units)
Keep an updated time log of service hours
Write a two page summary of your experience at the end of the semester
Complete mandatory projects and attend events
Be prompt, responsible and enthusiastic

Conduct weekly office hours in OIE (3 hours/week), advising students in region
Attend weekly peer advising workshop
Advise outbound students in their region
Serve as liaison to Area Studies Coordinator and/or major/minor advisors.

International Mentor Program
The International Mentor Program was designed to enable students to further develop their intercultural communication skills while providing support and friendship to international exchange students in Chico.

Provide friendship and support to semester or yearlong international student.
Grocery and other shopping Fun without alcohol events (i.e. weekly coffee date) Visits to DMV, post office, bookstore, etc. Available via e-mail, Facebook, and phone for ??? Help with English language skills when applicable Invite to friends and family when appropriate
