PRE-ORDERED SCHOOL SHOP PICK-UP:

Return your list to school by 27th of November 2015. Please rule through the items you do not wish to purchase. If you wish to pre pay, complete the payment information (if

paying by card) or return the list with a cheque made out to Ziggies Educational Supplies.

You can also order online up to 4th of December 2015 and choose pick-up. Please visit booklists.ziggies.net.au. Your school code is NAG Select Year 12. Your password is ZZY055.

You can also choose to pay on collection of your pre-packed bag – using credit card, EFTPOS or cash – no cheques will be accepted on the day of pick-up.

If you have chosen the pick-up option & know that you are not available to attend the pick-up day, a friend or relative may collect the bag on your behalf. Please check with Ziggies, after your shop date as to where your uncollected bag will be held.

Collect your pre-packed bag from the Allendale Primary School – 52 Wittenoom Street, Geraldton On Friday 15th of January 2016 from 4:30pm to 6:00pm and Saturday 16th of January 2016 from 9:30am to 2:30pm

HOME OR BUSINESS DELIVERY:

Order online by 4th of December 2015 for HOME OR BUSINESS DELIVERY. Postage is $13.95 per list.

Parcels will be delivered during mid to late January 2016 (or earlier). You will receive an email from Australia Post on the day of delivery with a tracking number, which can be used to track your parcel on www.auspost.com.au. As year levels are dispatched on different days, you may receive your parcels a few days apart.

We recommend using a business address for delivery as all parcels must be signed for. If you are not home to receive the parcel it will have to be collected from the relevant Post Office. If using a business address, please ensure that you enter the name of the business.

If you are going to be away on holidays to receive your parcel, please enter an address of a friend of relative to receive it on your behalf.

LATE ORDERS: Orders received after the 4th of December 2015 will be processed for home delivery. These orders will incur a late postage and handling fee of $16.95 per list, and delivery before the start of school CANNOT be guaranteed, so please place your order BEFORE the cut-off date

MISSING ITEMS: If you have any items missing from your pack that are not listed as being on back order, please notify us within 7 days of receiving

your order by emailing [email protected]. Any claims made after this date will not be accepted.

REFUNDS: Refunds will be granted for items on your Requirements List that are in perfect condition up to the 28th of February 2016 or 14 days from date of purchase (whichever is the latter). Perfect condition = still wrapped in packaging, no name written on, no bent corners, no book covering, no codes scratched off etc. YOU MUST BRING IN YOUR RECEIPT. YEAR 12 EXTRA REQUIREMENTS – 2016

THE ITEMS LISTED BELOW, OTHER THAN THE CALCULATOR AND SCHOOL DIARY CAN BE PURCHASED

IN YOUR LOCAL AREA. CALCULATORS All Mathematics students in Year 12 require a Scientific Calculator. Students studying 2C/D Mathematics, 3A/B Mathematics, 3C/D Mathematics and 3C/D Mathematics Specialist must have a CASIO ClassPad 330 or CASIO ClassPad 400 calculator. LOCKERS There is no change as Year 12 students will use the same locker and combination lock from last year. Students are required to keep their lock on their locker for the duration of the summer break. Students will use their combination lock from Year 11. However, a charge will be applied for lost or damaged locks and debited to school fees. Please see Mr Tobin immediately if this is the case. CHILDREN, FAMILY AND THE COMMUNITY – CARING FOR OTHERS AND CHILDREN, FAMILY AND THE COMMUNITY – LIVING INDEPENDENTLY All students in the above courses require a Blue Apron and Bandana. If they do not already have one they will be available from the Home Economics Room on payment for same at the school office. COMPUTING AND DEVICES Nagle Catholic College operates a Bring Your Own Device program. The College recommends a laptop or MacBook device for Year 12 students. Tablet devices will be permitted but may not be suitable for working in certain courses, e.g. Design or IT. SOFTWARE AND FUNCTIONALITY All students should be able to perform the following functions on their device on software of their choosing:

Word processing Basic image editing Basic filming and editing of short movies Spreadsheets Viewing PDF documents Creating and viewing presentations Online research

Students should also consider what specialist software they may use in a subject (e.g. Design) and may seek to have the same or comparable software available for completion of work at home. Computers are available around the College for student use of speciality software such as the Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD. CONEQT-S Teaching materials are available to students via Coneqt-S. Students should take responsibility for viewing any missed lessons in Coneqt-S and downloading the revision materials. Usernames and passwords will be issued at the start of the year. STORAGE All students are provided with a Microsoft account which allows 7GB of online storage via ‘Onedrive’. It is also recommended that work also be backed up to a USB Memory Stick or portable hard drive. It is recommended that USB Memory Sticks should be of at least 8GB. All students should have headphones available for use in classes.

YEAR 12 EXTRA REQUIREMENTS – 2016 DESIGN GRAPHICS Digital Storage space will be made available through the school network, however, a personal storage device is essential to ensure students have adequate storage space and a ‘back-up’ of all digital work. A ‘portable external hard drive’ is the recommended storage device and should prove enough space for the entire Year 11 & 12 DESIGN GRAPHICS Course.

DESIGN (TECHNICAL GRAPHICS) Students must have an external hard drive. (** See Computer Facilities above). FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Students will be issued with an apron and hat from the Home Economics Department each time they are required to cook. INSTRUMENTAL STUDENTS

Guitar ~ Students will require a guitar pick. Drums ~ Students will require a pair of drumsticks.

CHEMISTRY A one-off fee of $89.95 will be added to the school fees for the purchase of an electronic resource for students studying the Chemistry course in Year 12. PHYSICS A one-off fee of $89.95 will be added to the school fees for the purchase of an electronic resource for students studying the Physics course in Year 12. OUTDOOR EDUCATION STUDENTS All students must have their own Cylvia Navigating Compass. RELIGION AND LIFE (ATAR 3 and 4) A one-off course levy of $9.00 will be added to the school fees for all students studying Religion and Life at the ATAR level. This payment will meet the terms of an ongoing copyright licencing agreement for a digital version of two textbooks (Catholic Ethical Thinking and Catholic Studies) and will enable the necessary access for students. PENS AND PENCILS Students are to supply pens, pencils, rulers, erasers, coloured pencils, textas, glue sticks, scissors as required. SCHOOL UNIFORMS It is recommended that all articles of school clothing including shoes, be clearly marked with the student’s name. SCHOOL DIARY Each student receives a College Homework Diary at the beginning of the year. The cost of the diary is debited to the family fees account. Replacement diaries are available for purchase from the school office.
