Job RoleWorking within the commercial leasing department of GE Capital I worked in a wide range of roles across several different projects. In these roles I used both my business and technical skills and enhanced my knowledge of management, communication and web development.

My ExperienceI moved to London for my work placement which was located in Hounslow, near Heathrow. I lived in South-West London in a flat share and commuted to work by train. London was an amazing city to work in and added to the excitement of being on placement. Working in GE was definitely an experience. I was treat as a full time employee and managed my own projects as well as working on other peoples projects. I learnt a lot from working in such a large organisation and the support available really helped me to achieve a lot in a short space of time.

Employee ProfileOperating at the very heart of UK business, GE Capital enables customers to efficiently and successfully run and manage their operations every day, providing finance to over 90,000 UK businesses and keeping some 45,700 company car drivers on the road. On a global scale, GE Capital is one of the world’s largest providers of credit for over one million business, large and small and operating in 55 countries.
