The meetings, cach of which will start at 9:30 A.M.,will be held at Texa, Department of Public Safety, 12230 West Road, Houston, Texas 77065.The purpose of these meetings is to continue the allocation planning process of the 700 MHzspectrum for public safety in Region 51. All Region 51 (East Texas) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee meetings arcopen to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole purpose or principal purpose isto protect thc safcty oftife, health, or property in Region 51 would utilize these frequencies. It isessential that not only public safety, but all govermnent, Native American Tribal. and nongovermnental organiza1tions eligible under Section 90.523 of the Corrunission's Rules berepresented in order to en.sure that each agency's future spectrum needs are considered in theallocation process. Administrators who are not conversant with telecommunications technologyshould ensure that their respective agencies are represented by suitably conversant staff.

All e!ligible public safety providers whose sole purpose or principal purpose isto protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 51 would utilize these frequencies. It isessential that not only public safety, but all government, Native American Tribal, and nongovernmental organiz.ations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission's Rules berepresented in order to ensure that each agency' s future spectrum needs are considered in theallocation process. Administrators who are not conversant with telecommunications technologyshould ensure that their respective agencies are represented by suitably conversant staff.
