Nadine Lamberski, Class of 1990, I

has moved from an internship at the

University of Tennessee to a two-year

residency in zoological medicine at the

University of California in Davis.

Nadine was president of the AAV Stu

dent Chapter when she was a student at

the University of Georgia.

Updates on AAV members at the

Exotic Pet Service Department at The

Animal Medical Center in New York:

Karen Rosenthal enters her second

year as a resident; Nick Sitinas is a new

first-year resident; Heidi Hoefer has

received a staff promotion; Elizabeth

Hillyer resigned to move to Ruther

ford, New Jersey, where she will be in

private practice; and Kathy Quesen

berry continues as Service Head.

Ed Ramsay has moved to the

University of Tennessee where he is in

a tenure track faculty position in zoo

animal medicine. Part of his respon sibilities include medical services for

the Knoxville Zoo.

Alex Rubel (whose radiology book

is reviewed in this issue) has accepted the position of zoo director of the

Z?rich, Switzerland Zoo.

Nicole VanDerHeyden has hired

Dr. Angela Rennox as an associate at

the Avian and Exotic Animal Clinic of

Indianapolis. Ernest Godfrey was chosen as

President-elect of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association at its annual con

vention in September.

Right after the AAV Conference in

Chicago, Keven Flammer leaves for

Australia to participate in a Post

graduate Refresher Course for

Veterinarians in Aviary and Caged Birds. Earlier in the year James Stewart was in Australia for a month

consulting with ostrich farmers and

conducting seminars on ostriches.

Gerry Dorrestein, Lena Matt

sson and B. Roken helped present a

course in avian medicine and surgery to

Swedish veterinarians in Stromsholm, Sweden in September.

Personal news: Mike Murray and

Nancy Walton were married in May; Don Harris and Trish Stemrich were

married in July. In August, Howard Martin and his

wife Audrey had a baby girl named

Ariel, and Corina Lupu and her hus

band Richard Cohen are new parents of

a boy named Zachary Emile.
