ADULT FAITH FORMATION

Continuation of Reformation Program. This fall marks the 500th Anniversary of the start of the Reformation

with the promulgation of the 95 Theses by Martin Luther. Next Sunday, October 8th at 9:45AM in Meeting Room 1, we continue a three-part series

exploring key figures from the Reformation and its implications for Catholics today.

Dr. Allan Janssen – Professor of Theological Studies, New Brunswick Seminary, New Brunswick, New Jersey

will present on John Calvin, Ulrich Zwingli and the Reformed Churches

ALL SOULS COMMITTAL SERVICE FOR CREMATED REMAINS

Often families are not ready to inter cremated remains of a loved one at the time of a funeral and hold onto them for months, even years. The Albany Catholic

Diocesan Cemeteries annually offers a Prayer Service and the entombment of cremated remains on the Feast of All Souls. There is no cost for this service. The next

Prayer Service will occur on November 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.

CENTERING PRAYER

Centering prayer opens our whole self to God by consenting to God’s presence and action within us. If there is interest, we’ll have a centering prayer group on Tuesday

UNDIE SUNDAY

A collection of new underwear (still-in-the-package) will be collected to benefit men, women and children in local

shelters and outreach programs. Gift cards from Target & Wal-Mart are also welcome. Last year we collected over 300

items. Can we make it to 400 items this year?! Volunteers are also needed to deliver the collected items to a local

shelter during the week of Oct 15. Please sign up on the display board by the elevator.

YOGA CLASSES RESUME

Judi England, Kripalu Yoga instructor, has resumed yoga classes on Monday evenings from 6-7PM in the church (enter the church from the parking lot, through the side door). Bring your own yoga gear - mat, pillow, strap, etc. Class schedule: Oct. 2, 16, 23, & 30; Nov. 6, 13 (last class). A donation of $5 or more is asked if you are able, which directly benefits our Sister Parish in Panama. For more

ALTAR SERVERS

We are also looking for more Altar Servers. Training will be offered on October 14th. Please email Meg with the

FAITH FORMATION & YOUTH MINISTRY

Families with children in grades K-11 are welcome to participate in and deepen their faith by attending Faith

Formation and Youth Ministry sessions! There are orange registration forms located on the tables in the church.

Registration forms can also be found on the parish website.

Faith Formation Sessions (grades k-5) meet on Sunday from 9:45-10:45 in the parish center

Youth Day Sessions (grades 6-10) start on October 1 at 12:15. The next session is on November 5th in the

church

Confirmation

There will be a Confirmation preparation meeting on Sunday, October 15 at 12:15-2:00. Retreat: Saturday, October 21 from 10:30-3:30 at All Saints Contact Tahlia Hadley with questions or concerns: [email protected]

Workcamp

Interested in attending week long, home repair mission trip? Teenagers, with a heart for service, are invited to attend a Workcamp interest meeting on October 22 at 12:15 in meeting room one.
