Construction Update:

First, we wanted to thank everyone for your patience and consider-ation during the two week time period Birchwood’s elevator was being renovated. The project could not have gone more smoothly.

The elevator crew did an impeccable job at staying on track and even finished the elevator a day earlier than planned. Our new ele-vator passed the inspection and is now ready for use!

During the project, we had a few excited residents supervising the work crew. Our first resident to enjoy a ride on the elevator, gave it a 5-star rating! We hope you enjoy the new elevator and again we thank you for your cooperation and positivity.

As we move into the month of May, I’m reminded that the National Day of Prayer is the 2nd, and

then the second Sunday is Mother’s Day. We also commemorate our Armed Forces on the 18,th

and those who gave their lives for our country on Memorial Day. May is also the month here in

Minnesota that we plan to begin to plant. As the saying goes, “April showers bring May Flowers.”

Remembering the sportsmen, Fishing Opener is this month too.

In all of these wonderful days I’m reminded of what St. Paul wrote in his introduction to his letter to

the Philippians,

(Phil 1: 3-4):

“ I thank my God every time I remember you.

In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because

of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. …”

Remembering people we care about means so much to us when they come to mind and to

them when they know we care. As the weather gets warmer and the flowers begin to bloom,

and as the fish bite on the bait and we get thankful for the people we love, remember with joy in

our hearts that God loves you too and so do we!
