We had great entertainment, and presentations at Lunch and More with: The Kitchen Band, who had everyone up and dancing, talented Dottie Jackson with piano & vocals!! Dr. Allen Weiss, President & CEO at NCH discussed “The Blue Zone, and Gary Vincent w/Collier County Vet- eran Services. We also had our members’ from Writers’ Workshop share their mem- oirs with us. The Center for Critical Thinking stimulated our brains in a social setting, with great discussion on “Common Core. Needed?” Thank you for making this the best destination in Naples! Tai Chi Classes are on Tuesday(s) from 1–2:30pm for intermediate level, and Friday(s) 9:30-10:30am for beginner level. Computer Assistance is still available Wednesday(s) 1:30-3pm and Friday(s) 10:30-11:30am. Please sign up in advance in Copilot. Happy Hour Chair Yoga with Instructor Dede – Join us every Tuesday from 3-4pm for stretching, breathing, balance and MORE! Chair Yoga VIDEO – Every Monday & Friday from 12:15 – 12:45pm to keep the stretching, breathing and balance going! No Need to Pack Your Bags - We’re bringing the world to you through Travelogue with Jim Sernovitz. We will be traveling with Jim to Indonesia-Land of Volcanos and Dragons on Wednesday, May 6th from 1:15 to 2:15. Just look at the summer vacation we’ll be having with these incredible destinations: Northern California on Wednesday, June 3rd from 1:15 to 2:15, Rocky Mountain Holiday on Wednesday, July 1st from 1:15 to 2:15, Three Faces of China on Wednesday, July 29th from 1:15 to 2:15 and The Baltic Sea on Wednesday, August 26th from 1:15 to 2:15. ART CLASSES May 4th Polymer Clay Jewelry – PART 1. Learn Mokume Game technique to create decorative “stones” resembling cloisonné. May 11th

Polymer Clay Jewelry – PART 2. Combine polymer pieces with jeweler’s wire techniques to assemble pendants, pins & earrings. Learn to “screen print” clay using pastels. May 18th Glass Bead Decoration. Collage, draw, print, glitter: make plain glass beads into works of art. Necessary materials will be provided and you may want to bring a favorite picture, drawing or pattern to use with the provided materials.

May 25th – Closed for Memorial Day LIT WITS The members of the book club will meet to discuss Family Tree, author Barbara Delinsky, and select next month’s book to read. In a casual setting, listen in on the discussion if you haven’t read the book, and be there to cast your vote for June’s book. Thursday, May 14th 2-3:30pm. Join us for Bridge, Mah Jongg and other card games every Friday afternoon from 1-3:30pm. Beginners to advanced players are welcome. Be sure to sign-up on Copilot in advance. It will help us put together games. MONDAY MOVIE MATINEE 1-3pm. Come for the movie, the friendship and the popcorn! May 4th Love Is A Many Splendored Thing: In Hong Kong in 1949, Mark Elliott (William Holden) is an American reporter covering the Chinese civil war. Undergoing a trial separation from his wife, he meets the beautiful Dr. Han Suyin (Jennifer Jones), a widowed physician from mainland China. As the pair fall in love, they encounter disapproval from both her family and his friends about their interracial romance. May 11th Moonstruck: No sooner does Italian-American widow Loretta (Cher) accept a marriage proposal from her doltish boyfriend, Johnny (Danny Aiello), than she finds herself falling for his younger brother, Ronny (Nicolas Cage). She tries to resist, but Ronny lost his hand in an accident he blames on his brother, and has no scruples about aggressively pursuing her while Johnny is out of the country. As Loretta falls deeper in love, she comes to learn that she's not the only one in her family with a secret romance. May 18th Houseboat: Tom Winston (Cary Grant) is struggling to raise his three children on his own after his wife's death. After meeting the charming and beautiful Cinzia Zaccardi (Sophia Loren) at a concert, he hires her as a live-in nanny. Unbeknown to Tom, Cinzia is actually a European socialite on the run from her domineering father (Harry Guardino) and has absolutely no experience with cooking, cleaning or raising children. She does, however, have an interest in Tom.
