Narrative essay example:How I ended up learning a Bachelor in

English Just like any freshman, I did not know what to study, I did not get enrolled in an university immediately because I wasn’t sure about what to study, but at the end after a few years, after

getting enrolled in different degrees, I could discover that learning English was something I loved.

I was prompted by my uncle to study English, somehow, he helped me lie it but at the beginning it was hard. It was on February 7th 2008 when my uncle suggested me to study English at the

Colombo in order have something to learn while clearing my thoughts to decide what to study. It was at the Colombo where I first took my first English classes, I had learned some English

in High school but I hated it, at the Colombo, I could be taught by an Aussie teacher who was really cool, I could learn a lot from him since it was my first time being taught by a native

speaker, then I was taught a Polish woman who was very demanding, I failed the level she taught me, I was frustrated and I gave up for a while. A few months later I started to study

Journalism, degree in which I dropped out because I did not like it, but before doing that, I repeated the level and I could pass it.

Aftter dropping out of different courses, holding a degree, and working in cal centers, I discoveed I liked English and that I could study it as a degree. I was still unsure about what to study,

at the same time, I wanted to earn money quickly, for that reason I took a degree in Adminitration which lasted 3 years, during that time, I was still taking courses and dropping ut of them, in

that program I learned English at the same time, it was included in the Administration program, at the beginning, I was taught by a cool dude from my hometowm, he was tackfull and had a

good attitude that helped me be encouraged to learn English again, so I did it steadily in spite of the tactless teachers whose teaching methods and attitudes were not my favorites,. Finally,

In that time, when I had the chance to work , because of my internships, I could work in a call center, that helped me a lot so at the end of the program degree, I had shown a lot of good

English skills and my classmates kept telling me that I was good at English, and that I could learn it to teach, be a translator or a language Master.

I can say that what started to be a random choice to have something to do, ended up as something that helped me discover what I liked for my life,. If I hadn’t followed my uncle’s

suggestions, I would have never been walked to the path in which I found people, job opportunities and studies that helped me discover the degree and carreer I really had to study, and it

is important to say that everything I did before, helped me have the knowledge that has let me gone through all the challenges that university students challenge.
