Name Trains!

Omak Key Club and Okanogan Key Club joined together

for this amazing project, thanks to Wally Richards!

Key Club and Kiwanis

made wood letters that

connect to a train

engine, allowing

children to spell out their

names through toys!

We each had our own task

to do. Such as cutting out

the letters, gluing on the

wheels, and staining the

wood for final touches!

In one month, we made

three sets total!

One was donated to the

North Elementary

Preschool:

The second set was

donated to the

Montessori Preschool:

And, we will be delivering

the third set to the Liberty

Bell Preschool!

Below is a picture of Wally

Richards, Kiwanian, setting

our first letter on the shelf.

Wally is the chair of this

project. Big thank you to

him from Key Club for

letting us use his

woodshop!

This is the first year we have

done the Name Trains

Project. Since it was such a

success, we hope to keep

doing it all year. Anyone

who is interesting in being

a part of Name Trains,

please contact me (203-

4476) or Wally (322-3227)

for more information!

Big Thanks to Tommy

Zbysewski, McKenzie Ervin,

Jasmair Bains, and Jag Bains

for coming to all the DCMs so

far!

If weather allows, we will

be going ice-skating

afterwards at the

Winthrop Ice Rink.

Divisional Council

Meetings!

November DCM:

December DCM:

The November DCM was a

conference call on

November 18 at 5pm. We

did have at least one

attendee from each club,

but this DCMs attendance

was weak compared to

our past DCMs. Since it

was our first time doing a

conference call and

members forgot about it, I

have decided to go back

to face-to-face Divisional

Council Meetings. But

those are the fun ones, so

be excited for next

month’s!

To those who could not

attend this DCM:

I need all members to

email me TWO NAMES of

members who are most

involved in your club.

Please email this to

[email protected]

by December 15!

Where: Winthrop, WA at

Liberty Bell High School

When: December 18th at

4:00 p.m.

Who: Key Club members

and officers, Kiwanis,

Builder’s Club, and

anyone who is still

interested in joining!

Hosting this Divisional

Council Meeting with me

will be Tom Zbysewski.

Tom and I will make it

worth your drive down to

Winthrop, so make sure

you attend! If you have

any additional questions

about this, please feel

free to contact me.

Hope to see you all there!

Come help with Key Club

Christmas Caroling!

December 15th in Omak ☺

Key Club helped at the

Annual Christmas Parade

on December 8th. We had

over 20 Key Clubbers

which helped serve hot

chocolate, sing for

entertainment, and finally

take a picture with Santa!

On December 7th, Division 9 came together to put on a

community movie night. We chose classic holiday movies:

The Polar Express and The Nightmare before Christmas. As

a division, we raised over $200 for DCON in total. Since it

was a great success, we will be planning our second

community movie night soon.

Come volunteer!
