Stock Cars: large, late model sedans that have built for racing. Allows speed to reach 200 mi/hr.

Stock Car races are held on oval asphalt tracks, the distance varies from 5/8 of a mile to 2 2/3 mile.

Season last from February to November.

Colored flags in order to direct drivers:

Green – Beginning of the race and any restarts

Yellow – Track is not clear, slow down & hold your position. Used to signal an accident, debris or mechanical failure

Red – Cars must go to a designated location and stop immediately for safety issues

White – There is one lap remaining

Checkered Flag – The end of the race.

36 races on 22 different race tracks. Daytona 500, first race of the year. Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor

Points are tallied after 26 races, and the top 10 scorers are locked in to compete for the last ten races

Top 10 will be awarded for three bonus points for each race they won in the first 26 races

The most points you can receive is 43 points for winning a race
