sudden beginnings or endings. Children are a source of great interest but you may have difficulties in giving them warmth and affection. You benefit from learning the joy that comes from a more heartcentered approach. You also benefit from more follow-through, focus and selfdiscipline, in order to successfully complete what is started. The Edgar Cayce readings state that Uranus brings the extremes of one who is either very poor or very rich (and both in one lifetime), very enthusiastic or very depressed, and the like. Seek the balance, yet in the extremes are also found your exceptional qualities. Uranus will also make you naturally intuitive; knowing many conditions, many things, that may be asked or sought, without knowing how you obtained the information! Uranus brings an interest in social, moral, religious, and economic values. Hold to the higher purposes, the higher ideals. With your Uranus under the influence of Leo, the entity will appear headstrong, willful; yet with exceptional abilities in many lines, and these may be turned into either good or bad though the influence in Leo - which gives the quick change in the entity's attitude toward conditions. Important Features Jupiter in Capricorn (2° Cap 02') Jupiter in the Sixth House Leading planet of planetary pattern Jupiter in the Sixth House (or sign) gives you an optimistic outlook on everyday life, including health issues and the mundane details of the daily workweek. You are one who is capable of enormous output when you get inspired, and approach the practical necessities of daily existence with a quiet joy and a gentle humility. You are an inspiration to your co-workers although you may tend to get caught up in details and miss the big picture approach at times. Health issues are important to you, and you may be a master at putting together preventative medicine practices. In an attempt to find the perfect fitness regime you may go to the extremes of either abundance or abstinence, and it benefits you to find the middle ground. You are very determined and can turn small advantages into success over time. You take a practical and responsible view of life and excel in the natural religion of the ordinary. Jupiter in Capricorn (or the tenth house) gives you a serious and conscientious personality. You are also very practical and have a talent for working with the public. You tend to be extremely careful with money, making a good manager, and have a strong drive to achieve success. You may be perhaps somewhat miserly with the gift of your affection. You can also be fearful of risking the fruits of your achievement, definitely not a risk-taker. You may refrain from taking chances that would in fact succeed. Although you have good prospects in life, your opportunities usually come from hard work and dedication. Tradition plays a large part in molding your ideals. You are noble and honorable in your connection with society around you, and enjoy being known as a good role model for others to follow. The Edgar Cayce readings state that Jupiter gives one an expansion of vision and an ability to view situations from all sides. Jupiter helps one comprehend a large scope of things, peoples, and conditions. It gives the ability to retain in the mind much that slips past others. From Jupiter come the abilities to be a pleasing personality, as in relationships with individuals or large groups. In this same manner may be seen the abilities for varied connections socially, politically, and in the commercial way. Higher mindedness and expansive relationships make for the ideal Jupiter life. Your Jupiter in Capricorn inclines the mental forces in you to be both a materialist and one given to spiritual things. Let your innate determination and commitment be guided by your higher ideals.

Moon in Taurus (10° Tau 33' 56") Moon in the Eleventh House Ruler of rising sign The Moon in Taurus gives a personality with a deep need for security, centered in the material world. You are possessed of powerful emotions, and you are also charming, good-natured, and attractive. The material world can be of importance to you, for it makes you feel comfortable to be in nice surroundings. You are also very practical, proud and stubborn, and should beware of acting conceited. You are likely to attract a loyal and loving partner. The Edgar Cayce readings state that the Moon may counter the influences that come from the Sun, as emotions may counter intentions. Hence, for balance, engage the will to direct the spiritual life with good judgment and practicality in your daily life. The Moon inclines one to love the social life, but the entity must find its true self, its true mission. Care must be taken not to take self into activities and thoughts that belittle or degrade oneself in one's own eyes. Your Moon in Taurus inclines one to be headstrong, determined, and very set in their ways; thus, for the more perfect material and mental comprehension such a one needs to consider his or her intent and purpose carefully. The Moon in Eleventh House represents emotional sensitivity in social arenas. You seek comfort and security in friends and group associations. You are dynamic in group settings although you do not need to feel like the center of attention. You may be detached and objective in social circumstances because you do not want to commit your allegiance to one group or another. You prefer to have several types of acquaintances in various group settings. You do well as an organizer of group events whether it be a party for friends, group meeting or social event. You have a tendency to overextend yourself and can become divided by being involved in too many group projects at once. You may need to guard against being too naive, friendly and taking too much responsibility for groups. You may do well to focus on reliable friendships and learn discrimination when opening to new activities and associations so that you can manage and coordinate your various interests and activities. Mars in Capricorn (11° Cap 08') Mars in the Seventh House Angular planet - conjunct Descendant Mars in the Seventh House (or sign) gives a sensitive, and emotionally impressionable nature with an inclination to get very involved with other people. You are likely to have great charm and poise, and an ongoing attraction to love and romance. You can be a persuasive talker, and enjoy getting your own way, although you also are truly committed to making sure all parties in a dispute receive just and fair treatment, and will go out of your way to make sure that they get it. You are potentially a rash and ardent lover, and you may marry early. You are likely to seek an active partner, one who will match your own fiery independence that is a part of your basic nature you may not always show. You might need to work through quarreling with others as a way of standing up to being overly influenced by them, and benefit from exploring a greater degree of selfreliance. You also may be attracted to the idea of partnerships generally, as a way of life. You profit from cultivating moderation and objectivity in your dealings with others. Mars in Capricorn (or the tenth house) gives an ambitious, vigorous and persistent nature. You are conservative and careful but always able to reach the goal. You are fond of responsibility. You will

achieve much in life, being naturally controlled and a good follower as well as a good leader, although your actions are more likely to be guided by social convention than personal ambition. You seldom speak without a purpose, and can have a reputation as the "strong silent type." In your highest manifestation, your energy is invested in satisfying collective needs, for the betterment of society around you. You may have to work through issues of pride, even arrogance, and you can sometimes arouse opposition or even hostility from others. You suffer from tunnel vision at times, and benefit from cultivating broader and more unselfish ways of looking at things. The Edgar Cayce readings state that Mars brings turmoil but also great energy for soul growth and helping others. Mars makes one active and yet quicktempered. Control your temper, be not overhasty in your quickness to judge and criticize, and you will find that you have a virtue that will stand thee in good stead with thy fellow man and the problems that arise. Reason not from materiality but from the soul and the spiritual in your relationships; then you may find soul development and patience united with your great energy. Your Mars in Capricorn inclines the mental forces in you to be both a materialist and one given to spiritual things. Let your innate determination and commitment be guided by your higher ideals. Saturn in Pisces (12° Pis 48') Saturn in the Ninth House Saturn in the Ninth House (or sign) gives an educated and philosophically active mentality, with a deepening and a concentration, or a blockage, in the area of higher learning and expansion into new horizons. You are courageous in expressing your opinion, have a keen intuition and make a good teacher. Your early beliefs may be characterized by adhering too strictly to a dogmatic and rigid set of principles, but you grow into a more mature wisdom in your later years. You likely have a need for physical exercise. You make a good teacher, and may also feel a calling to work with the disadvantaged. While open and honest, and intent on expressing your point of view, you may also doubt yourself in this area, seeming indecisive or rebellious. Your goals are mental and spiritual, rather than material, and you may search for a new framework of moral or spiritual values, rather than adopt existing outworn belief systems. Your lesson is to eventually come to the realization that the true source of moral and ethical valuation lies within yourself. The following applies to your generation as a whole as well as to you personally: Saturn in Pisces (or the twelfth house) gives a deepening and concentration, or blockage, with regard to your connection to spiritual unity with All That Is. You have a serious and self-conscious personality. You can be moody and introspective, and are likely to be compassionate and sympathetic to the problems of others. You may at times feel that life is too hard, or that it is beyond your conscious control. You may experience a sense of imprisonment, either real or imagined, or perhaps a strong sense of guilt, which may be generalized rather than specific. You tend to withdraw from the world, or in some way give up control. Or you may overcompensate by trying too hard to achieve control. Your true path lies in soul-level self-sacrifice rather than in the more mundane life of worldly events. You possess, in a very concentrated form, the urge for spiritual evolution that is present in all of us, and which actualizes when you can detach from the personal self and surrender to a mystical union with all of life. The Edgar Cayce readings state that Saturn brings the tendency for starting new projects, new lines of thought, new associations, and new experiences, often desiring to change. These Saturn influences incline one to say, "Today I would like to do this," and tomorrow, "Well, I would like something else." These are inclinations. Hence, they must be met in the mental and the spiritual forces of oneself. And though Saturn brings the beauty found in a fresh start, in another opportunity to try anew, one must also develop consistency and follow-through for the better soul development. Your Saturn with the

You are dreamy and full of imagination, and are easily influenced by everything around you, being quite sensitive to the emotions of others. You also have an artistic temperament that allows you to express these feelings in creative and innovative ways. You can be strong when necessary, but you may have a hard time making a decision. You also may experience upsets periodically, stemming from your extreme sensitivity as you react to situations and events that seem harsh to you. At your best you are truly compassionate, offering service, love and understanding to all of life that surrounds you. The Edgar Cayce readings state that the Sun, at the time of birth, is the strongest force in one's destiny. From the Sun there is ever being thrown off an influence upon one's life and every form of expression of the Creative Energies. Look to the Sun sign for clues to the pattern the sun will be energizing. Your Sun in Pisces inclines you to be highly mentally developed, with interests in the higher soul or spiritual motivations. One moved to study the mystery, the creative forces, and active principles behind human impulses. The Sun in the Tenth House represents a concentration of one's vital force to act with authority and make a responsible contribution to the world. You have a great need to feel accepted and acknowledged by society. Career or vocation is very important to you. You also enjoy the idea of being famous. You may feel yourself to be ambitious, seeking a position of honor, nobility, or leadership. You are likely to personally identify with your career, which could in fact be the underlying reason for seeking status. You may feel more comfortable behind a mask or title than when directly showing yourself to others. You may also closely identify yourself with your mother or opposite sex parent, taking their goals and priorities as your own. Stimulated by your need to receive recognition you are primed to succeed at whatever you choose to do. Your drive, stamina, and commitment generate an aura of calm and collected strength. You are at your best when you are able to fulfill a role from which you can earn respect and gain insight into your inner motivation, in order to realize your true source of personal power, as you work your way toward your ambitious professional goals. easy-going, and you tend to be magnificently unbiased since you will accept just about anyone as a child of the universe. You benefit from learning discrimination in the gift your affections. The Edgar Cayce readings state that Venus naturally makes for high ideals controlled by love. Through Venus come the abilities with music, art, and service to others, whether in performing, teaching, or assisting others. The Venus vibration helps the entity bring great peace and joy to others, yet it requires that the entity makes for the better experience in self, in those who share life with self, and those who seek out self's aid. Venus brings good looks, good hearts, good creativity, and love. At other times, these may bring bitterness in some relationships. Hold to the higher ideals. Your Venus with the influence of Pisces inclines you to be highly mentally developed, with interests in the higher soul or spiritual motivations. You may be moved to study the mystery, the creative forces, and active principles behind human impulses. Venus in the Ninth House represents a strong connection within you between your sense of aesthetics, including what you value, and higher mind, philosophy or religion. You are drawn to higher learning, and to the spiritual principles underlying belief systems. You may be attracted to philosophical structures that express the fundamental idea of right living and right relationship. You are also drawn to the learning that comes from contact with other cultures. You have an affectionate personality, with good intuition. You tend to be idealistic in your approach to love, and also changeable in the expression of your love interest, seeking the adventure of new connections. You are a perpetual learner, with a love of exploring through travel and other means of broadening your horizons, and you may feel called to educational pursuits as a way to express your enthusiasm. If you are inclined to self-expression in the arts it may be regarding these more philosophically active areas, in written, spoken or graphical form. With your tremendous drive, you will likely go far, but you might need to beware of too much ego-involvement in being on top. The Edgar Cayce readings state that the conjunction of influences adds intensity to the impelling influences of these in one‟s daily experience. Cayce encourages us to keep the body and mind in as near normal balance as possible, while flowing with the motivating, spiritual forces involved in such a conjunction. Remember your ideal. Sun in semi-square (within 2.7 degrees) with Moon Ruler of rising sign

The planetary energies conflict in determined subtle tension; calmness is required. This aspect gives a willful and strong-minded individual. There may be two sides to your approach to life, which do not always blend harmoniously: your will and your instinctual self. There is an emotional side to your nature that does not easily integrate with your sense of purpose or will power. You have a high energy level and good intelligence, and are very aware and alert, but you may feel a conflict between your public and private lives or the work you set out to accomplish versus more personal goals. You may have experienced your parents as inharmoniously related to each other and therefore may have a tendency toward argument and conflict in your own interpersonal relationships. There is a creative tension in your relationships, and also internally within your own personality, that may lead you to accomplish much in life, through the path of struggle rather than the path of ease and comfort. The Edgar Cayce readings state that these contrary-wise conditions with the square or opposition of planets often bring conditions that are exceptional, and yet at times hard to deal with. There are often conditions when every situation in life appears to be just on the verge of success, when from unexpected sources in nature or the actions of individuals everything turns topsyturvy. Meet every such situation with your ideal in mind. Sun in square (within 3.8 degrees) with Jupiter Leading planet of planetary pattern The planetary energies conflict; internal and creative tensions bring rich rewards through effort over time. You are convivial and lively, and generous with your money and your affections. There may be a tendency to overdo things, or to expand the waistline. You are attracted to higher learning, and the fine arts, and are courageous and loyal, but you can be extravagant and suffer from errors in judgment. You should also beware of too much egotism. There are often conditions when every situation in life appears to be just on the verge of success, when from unexpected sources in nature or the actions of individuals everything turns topsyturvy. Meet every such situation with your ideal in mind. Sun in sextile (within 5.3 degrees) with Pluto The planetary energies flow together, open into new possibilities, new connections. This aspect gives a willful personality with a focus on being recognized and admired. You have strong desires, and you also have a powerful urge toward self-transformation, and may go through many changes in your life. You are not shy about expressing your beliefs, and you may even feel a compulsion toward self-assertion or self-aggrandizement. You also tend to champion the underdog, and react strongly to social injustice. In relationships, you tend to become intensely involved quickly, and stay absorbed in the relationship as long as it lasts. There may be underlying feelings of insecurity leading to your rather self-centered and ego oriented behavior. Exploring these feelings can be incredibly rewarding for you, and should be quite possible, for you have tremendous powers of regeneration and rebirth. When you learn to train your considerable energy on these socially oriented as well as personal goals, you can

become a focal point for the transformation of society itself. The Edgar Cayce readings state that the trine/sextile aspects bring an understanding from the spiritual and soul forces of the entity into consciousness. True soul growth is realized through the day-by-day application in our situations and relationships of spiritual and mental insights and ideals. The trine/sextile aspect allows these insights to flow more readily, but they must be applied in your daily life to be effective. Sun in semi-sextile (within 0.3 degrees) with Chiron The planetary energies attract each other, require effort, allow entry of new information. With this aspect between Sun and Chiron there are indications that you may experience painful realizations throughout your own life and that you also have the ability to heal others as well. Chiron is called "the wounded healer" because it represents the archetype of imperfection and loss which when integrated leads to compassion and understanding of others' suffering. The empathy and the understanding that are gained through life's trials provide the ability to serve as a helper and a healer for others. Since you have come through the fires of difficulty you are likely to be someone with career possibilities in the helping professions. It is often easier to face others' troubles than one's own, and you may even be more ready and available to help others than to help yourself. It is good to integrate your past experiences, no matter how painful they may have been, and no matter how painful these feelings continue to be for you in adult life. Then you will be in a position to truly sympathize with others' suffering and help them to work out their traumas as well. Moon in strong sextile (within 0.9 degrees) with Mercury The planetary energies flow together, open into new possibilities, new connections. This aspect gives a kindly, sound and logical mentality. point, although you may be oversensitive to criticism. All in all, you have good control over your passions and balance well between the extremes of getting close to other people and maintaining your own sense of individuality. Moon in strong sextile (within 2.2 degrees) with Saturn The planetary energies flow together, open into new possibilities, new connections. There is likely to be caution and reserve in your make-up, along with a good sense of the practicalities of life. This aspect gives a deepening and concentrating in the expression of your feelings. You may be extremely sensitive. You may have had a strict upbringing. The parental figures, in your life, especially your mother, may have been experienced as rejecting or uncaring. You may experience some difficulties in your relationship to the feminine. You may also benefit from relationships with powerful feminine figures, symbolic of the powerful feelings that need fuller expression in your own nature. The lesson for you here is to understand and value the true roots of your being more fully and deeply, leading to a better sense of security and greater self-acceptance. You tend to relate well emotionally with other people. It is important for you that your home environment be aesthetically pleasing. Moon in semi-square (within 0.5 degrees) with Midheaven The planetary energies conflict in determined subtle tension; calmness is required. This aspect gives an emotionally sensitive personality who is nurturing and caring. You may be over-dependent on others for your own feelings of self-worth, so that it is important to you that others look up to you. You do well in a business setting, having a dramatic presence that gives you natural abilities to influence others, and an attitude of caring that makes you easy to get along with, but you may have difficulties due to being changeable or engaging in political game-playing. You set priorities based on people rather than strictly on profits. The Edgar Cayce readings state that these contrary-wise conditions with the square or opposition of planets often bring conditions that are exceptional, and yet at times hard to deal with. There are often conditions when every situation in life appears to be just on the verge of success, when from unexpected sources in nature or the actions of individuals everything turns topsy-turvy. Meet every such situation with your ideal in mind. The ruler of your Sun Sign is Neptune in Taurus (3° Tau 39') The ruler of your Sun sign is characteristic of your personality: Neptune in the Eleventh House (or sign) gives a visionary personality with altruistic principles. You are popular, and may have a wide circle of friends. On the other hand, you may have problems to be worked through with deception in friendships, or confusion regarding a friend's true motives, or issues of using social interaction to escape your responsibilities. You have a highly developed social sense, and a strong affinity for groups expressing spiritual ideals. You may need to clarify your goals. You have a tremendous and positive vision of your own possibilities and those for society at large, but if Neptune is not well aspected in your chart, you may have difficulties to work through regarding the practical fulfillment of your visions and plans. At your best, you are compassionate toward others, making significant contribution

toward the creation of a more loving world, based on humanitarian ideals of universal brotherhood. The following applies to your generation as a whole as well as to you personally: Neptune in Taurus (or the second house) gives a kind and charming personality with a sensuous nature and good taste in artistic matters. You love music, painting and poetry. You are inclined to express your aesthetic sense in your environment. You may also have a tendency to excessive consumption or even extravagance. You may have good luck with money in your life, and yet waste it pursuing impractical schemes. You can become prey to delusions regarding the true importance of the material world in your life, or doubt the basis of your security. There could be a lack of appreciation for your possessions, or an appreciation based on their emotional rather than their intrinsic value. You may also have a strong desire to share personal wealth or to give your things away to others. You benefit when you realize that a deeper perception of the meaning behind the material world is needed, in order to transform your values regarding resources, and that your true foundation for security lies within yourself. The Edgar Cayce readings state that Neptune brings the mystic forces - an interest in symbols, signs, days, years, numbers; and the love of a mystery and the delving into the mysteries of Nature. But Cayce warns - be not too mindful of these unless weighed well in love and in nobleness. Don't let material things supplant spiritual things. Neptune is water; water is the mother in Nature; and nothing is more beautiful than the mother's caress. Springs, lakes, rivers, and large bodies of water become as music to an entity under the influence of Neptune. Your Neptune in Taurus inclines one to be headstrong, determined, and very set in their ways; thus, for the more perfect material and mental comprehension such a one needs to consider his or her intent and purpose carefully. Cancer Rising The Rising Sign is the mask shown to others, also the physical appearance. People with Cancer rising are nurturing and protective of other people. Your ruling planet is the Moon, and you tend to be moody, with your emotions constantly changing. You are security-conscious and your home is important to you. The position of the Moon in your chart is very important, and shows the way your personality is likely to develop. If the Moon is well-placed by sign and aspect, life flows easily for you, while stressful aspects or sign placement may reflect difficulties (check the position of the Moon). Cancer people are apt to appear passive, and to rely on their feelings. You are subtle, rather than direct, and are likely to reflect the moods of those around you. You are also good at working with the public. You are likely to be involved with the past in some way, because the sign of Cancer is the sign of nurturing, protecting, sustaining, and is strongly tied to the past, and Karma. You are probably the type who can be happy for hours in an antique store. Cancer people tend to collect the residue of past experience and hold onto it, as a coloration of their present activities, leading to instinctual action. You can benefit from shedding the light of conscious reason on your habitual patterns, and focusing on your true goals. The Edgar Cayce readings state that Cancer rising brings the higher mental attributes out of the mind into physical life. This may cause you to be sensitive, even vulnerable or delicate. But you may also be as a leader, a leader who remains with the minority. Your key to good physical, mental, and spiritual health will be the exercising of your will to make choices in line with your ideals. Mercury in strong trine (within 2.0 degrees) with Ascendant

The planetary energies flow smoothly; the connection is easy and beneficial.

This aspect gives a personality who values all sorts of mental pursuits and communication highly. You have a need to connect with other people. Your logical and communicative abilities are excellent. You are quick-witted and glib, and may turn to writing or public speaking as a way of expressing the strong rationality of your mind. You are in essence an independent thinker with your own way of looking at things, and you may be inspired and even visionary in your outlook. Venus in strong trine (within 2.1 degrees) with Ascendant The planetary energies flow smoothly; the connection is easy and beneficial. This aspect gives a warm-hearted and affectionate personality. You are likely to be cheerful, charming and popular socially. You may also be very beautiful, particularly at the soul-level. You are also sensitive, with an inclination for artistic pursuits and refined surroundings, and may possess considerable talent for the arts. Relationships are important to you. You are also firmly in contact with what you want and you are likely to be quite successful at getting it. With your poise and charm, this is usually not difficult. In fact, things may be a little too easy for you, and you benefit from the finding the depth of character that varying experience can bring as you go through life. Saturn in strong trine (within 0.7 degrees) with Ascendant The planetary energies flow smoothly; the connection is easy and beneficial. This aspect gives a deepening and concentration of the self-expression. You are serious about your responsibilities, and possess good executive abilities. You are also ambitious and are likely to make your mark on the world. There may also be a barrier between you and your self-realization, so that your true feelings are denied outlet, or you may have a sense of rejection or lack of love in your life, leading to a subconscious desire for recognition. Your lesson in all this may be to deepen and particularize the knowledge of who you really are, make contact with your own inner significance, and learn to love yourself. The Edgar Cayce readings state that the trine/sextile aspects bring an understanding from the spiritual and soul forces of the entity into consciousness. True soul growth is realized through the day-by-day application in our situations and relationships of spiritual and mental insights and ideals. The trine/sextile aspect allows these insights to flow more readily, but they must be applied in your daily life to

be effective. Mars in opposition (within 2.4 degrees) with Ascendant The planetary energies are polarized; outer events stimulate their interaction; integration is the challenge. This aspect gives a rash personality with a quick temper. You lack patience and tend to be argumentative. You are restless and have a forceful drive, which can lead you to accomplish great things, if properly harnessed. You are likely to possess a wiry and spare physique. You are also excitable, tend to run risks, and can be opinionated. You are daring and have great physical vitality and stamina. You can definitely "hold your own" in a dispute. You are sometimes hard to talk with, seeming to take your own position at the expense of others, and you should beware of abrasive behavior towards them, such as bragging or pushing yourself too much. You usually mean well, and need to temper your physical drive with calmness and judgment. Neptune in quintile (within 2.2 degrees) with Ascendant The planetary energies are positively linked, subtle, and spiritual in dimension. This aspect gives a sensitive and creative individual. You are somewhat unworldly, and are likely to be artistic or musical. You are softhearted, and you may be perhaps even too willing to sacrifice yourself for the good of others. You may also be open to mysticism or the exploration of other dimensions through psychic perceptions. Your aim is to achieve a balance between spiritual dimensions of reality and ordinary life. Other Natal Planets Mercury in Pisces (11° Pis 30') Mercury in the Ninth House Mercury in Pisces gives a refined and visionary mentality. With this placement, you may well have musical ability. You are likely to express your thoughts and feelings poetically, from an inspired and dreamy point of view, and you may be rather absent-minded at times. Mundane reality doesn't interest you. You may avoid dealing with the so-called "real" world by being evasive or vague in your communication with others, or you may daydream or fall prey to self-deception. You are highly sensitive in your reaction to your surroundings, coming from the unconscious and instinctual level of your mental function rather than your logical side. Your feelings can be easily hurt, and it benefits you to guard against

resentment toward others for seeming to take advantage of your idealistic nature. The Edgar Cayce readings state that Mercury enables a soul to develop and express high mental abilities and capacities. Mercury's influence enables a person to use his or her mental faculties to obtain knowledge much more easily than others. Mercury with the influence of Pisces inclines one to be highly mentally developed, with interests in the higher soul or spiritual motivations. One moved to study the mystery, the creative forces, and active principles behind human impulses. The expressions of Mercury, when developed properly, bring an ability to be a good listener. And though oft there may be said things that hurt, the entity may be tolerant and forbearing. And this, as an expression in Mercury, is indeed wisdom as well as knowledge. Mercury in the Ninth House represents a strong mental connection between your inner awareness and the natural laws of expanded perspective: higher learning, philosophy or religion. You have a keen-witted and idealistic mentality, with great powers of logic and deduction. You enjoy a wide range of studies, through reading and travel. You are also naturally inclined to teach what you perceive and discover, for your idealism is strong. You are very direct in thought and expression and will say exactly what is on your mind, giving you a reputation for lack of tact. You may be subject to visualizing grand possibilities and centering your perceptions on the larger issue, rather than on the details. Your thought process is better suited for exploring and advancing your position on a particular topic than for cautious investigation of every angle. You are the consummate student and teacher of life, at your best when you can exchange ideas with others and constantly expand your perceptions. Pluto in Taurus (22° Tau 56') Pluto in the Eleventh House Pluto in the Eleventh House (or sign) gives you a personality with an intense focus on friendships and group associations. You can perhaps behave compulsively with regard to group membership, or you may feel an unconscious drive toward an objective or goal that you do not fully understand. You have a dynamic and powerful expectation orientation that is constantly pulling you onward, so that you are never satisfied with what you have in front of you, but rather seek the bliss of an improved future for yourself and for the social groups with which you are connected. You like to be liked, and may go through many changes around the development of your own sense of yourself in relation to your friends and associates. You may radically change your group affiliation from time to time in an effort to resolve the unconscious motivations that tie you to its membership. You are also likely to be involved at some point in your life with a movement whose goal is the eventual improvement of society. Your task is to attempt to make conscious choices in these areas, and to become aware of your true objectives, based on your own values and goals, independent from the approval of others. The following applies to your generation as a whole as well as to you personally: Pluto in Taurus (or the second house) gives you tremendous focus around the issue of money and material possessions. With this placement you will transform your attitude toward the material, and your values in general, as you go through life. Finding your own base, independent of cultural norms, is an important theme for you. You may be apt to associate a sense of security with material possessions, or find yourself spending in a compulsive way for no apparent reason. You are a financial powerhouse, but there can be swings of fortune, up and down, as you will likely go through many changes in your attitude toward the material in the course of your life's journey. You may find that you move toward a more connected sense of security as you mature, one that does not stem from feelings of isolation and lack. You can then overcome your tendency to obsess on having enough through self-discipline and a realigning of values. When your values transform, your sense of self no longer depends on physical possessions, but rather on the deeper meaning associated with these things, which are symbolic of love

Page 15: Natal Report for Edgar Cayce Mar 18, 1877, 12 pm LMT ... · Mar 18, 1877, 12 pm LMT Beverly, Christian, KY (36N45, 87W32) Interpretation text by Henry Seltzer ... abilities to be

and sharing. The Edgar Cayce readings state that Pluto brings higher consciousness - sometimes through enlightenment, sometimes through adversity. Pluto calls for you to take counsel often with your inner self, as to whether the desires are in keeping with creative forces of a spiritual understanding, or have they become so secular as to build carnal forces? Keep self tuned to that love force, as in the good occult and mystical influences. Beware of forces that are formed from chance, impulse, or negative occult influences. Adversities may be used in one's experience as stepping-stones for the soul's development. Your Pluto in Taurus inclines one to be headstrong, determined, and very set in their ways; thus, for the more perfect material and mental comprehension such a one needs to consider his or her intent and purpose carefully. Chiron in Aries (27° Ari 57') Chiron in the Tenth House Chiron in the Tenth House (or sign) represents issues with one's vital force to act with authority and make a responsible contribution to society. With this placement you are likely to be somewhat rebellious of authority, and yet compulsively drawn to it as well. You have probably had many experiences in your life where you either had to knuckle under against your will or else overexerted your authority with others in a way that left them feeling oppressed. The compulsion you may feel to be in authority perhaps arose in your childhood, when you were too forcefully controlled, leading to compensatory behavior as an adult. Everyone has a basic need to be in control, and if distrustful of authority as a result of early experiences, we tend to strike first rather than wait to be pushed around by others. Another manifestation is being drawn to achievement in the eyes of the world, yet feeling ambivalent about your successes. You may feel pushed to success by the important parental figures of your childhood, and never really have a sense of belonging to your own true destiny, rather than acting on behalf of others' beliefs and goals. These feelings are also connected with low self-esteem, and you may seek to be a well-known presence in the world as a way of making up for feelings of lack of self-worth somewhere below your conscious level of reasoning, yet the victory when it comes may be hollow. In order to avoid these traps, it is good to be in more conscious touch with your hidden feelings, and attempt to bring these into the light to explore them in detail. Once you have begun this process, it will continue as a natural part of your growth, as it becomes easier and easier to confront the scary parts of yourself. At this point you can begin to wield a more conscious and integrated form of personal power. The following applies to your generation as a whole as well as to you personally: Chiron in Aries (or the First House) represents issues with one's vital force to be, to act, to initiate. With this placement of Chiron, your very sense of who you are may be threatened by disturbing realizations and painful memories., You may have felt belittled and put down in your formative years, rather than encouraged, by the significant adult figures in your life. Even after reaching maturity, you may encounter obstacles that prevent you from reaching your full potential. These difficulties can set up a pattern for failure, in which you operate more from a fear of failing than the expectation of success that breeds confidence for further achievement. One way this may manifest is in terms of acting not in your own behalf, in furthering your own goals, but rather in behalf of the goals of other people, which seem somehow more important or at least get priority treatment. You may keenly feel a lack of achievement in your own life, and compensate by trying too hard to help these others, putting yourself in the background, as it were. As long as these patterns operate more or less unconsciously, they are difficult to overcome, so the first step in surmounting them is to become more conscious of your own pain; acknowledging and discovering more about what exactly went on in the past to make you feel frustrated with your own abilities. At that point you begin to come out from behind your painful experiences and really show yourself. With a more conscious understanding of your own dynamics you can also begin to truly be of help to others, in how they deal with similar issues, as you start to approach them not from a false sense of vicarious achievement, but from a place of true friendship and helpfulness.

N Node in Pisces (10° Pis 31'R) N Node in the Ninth House Lunar North Node in the Ninth House (or sign). South Node in the third house or sign. This placement gives a thoughtful personality, with a focus on understanding moral or ethical belief systems. You may tend to scatter your energies, especially when young. In the past, or in past lifetimes, you concentrated your attention on superficial relationships of the everyday world. Now in this lifetime, your purpose seems to be to lift your attention toward a synthesis of higher consciousness. You will find great joy in pursuing the broader picture, whether in terms of educational perspectives or perhaps participation in cultures other than your own. Although curiosity regarding details and enjoyment of a multiplicity of points of view comes naturally to you, you must now learn to see the forest instead of the trees. Your focus now will become more and more the pursuit of higher knowledge and a deeper understanding of the motivations of others that was meant by the phrase "to understand all is to forgive all." A true philosophy of compassion is your goal. Lunar North Node in Pisces (or the twelfth house). South Node in the sixth house or sign. This placement gives you a personality with a focus on spiritual rather than worldly concerns. Although the practical matters of everyday life come easily to you, you do not find your true happiness in the pursuit of mundane affairs, but seek constantly to expand your horizons mentally and spiritually to a larger and more inclusive context. This may be difficult, for the pull of everyday life is very strong in you, and in many ways it is what you do best. In the past, or in previous lifetimes, you made your focus in refining your abilities in the practical world. At that time you dealt mainly with issues of personal health, or of the welfare of others in small but important ways. Now, in this lifetime, your focus gradually shifts to a higher plane of activity. You find your true happiness not so much in day-today routine, but in sacrificing yourself to a higher purpose, to advancing beyond the material world, with a disregard for your own well being. You find yourself going deep within yourself to bring forth a renewed understanding of how to serve others by giving up your personal ego-involvement in your actions, as you become an exemplar of a more spiritually based society, in helping others with true compassion. Other Aspects Mercury in strong sextile (within 0.4 degrees) with Mars The planetary energies flow together, open into new possibilities, new connections. This aspect gives great mental energy with an aggressive attitude and a disputatious mind. You are never at a loss for an answer, and are able to succeed well in debate, being able to find the weakness in your opponent's argument. You are courageous and somewhat rash in speech, and have a strong will. You possess great talent for literary activities. Your excellent reasoning ability and action orientation work well together giving you tremendous analytic talent but not always the enthusiasm and drive to accomplish all that you may. You are always on the go, with a restless nature that is not easily satisfied.

Mercury in strong conjunction (within 1.3 degrees) with Saturn The strongest blend of the energies represented by these two planets. This conjunction gives a profound mentality, deepening and concentrating your mind and your powers of speech and communication. You are shrewd in business, and are adaptable to a variety of professions. Long hours of concentration could produce in you a brilliant scholar, or a star of the legal profession. You may seem to suffer from a variety of nervous disorders, but these could actually be the result of subconscious fears of inadequacy in mental pursuits. You may on the other hand over-compensate for this by making extraordinary efforts. You may also feel a sense of isolation and loneliness in your life. Your lesson is to learn faith and to cultivate a positive attitude toward your mental process, restructuring that process along more personal and less rigid lines. The Edgar Cayce readings state that the conjunction of influences adds intensity to the impelling influences of these in one's daily experience. Cayce encourages us to keep the body and mind in as near normal balance as possible, while flowing with the motivating, spiritual forces involved in such a conjunction. Remember your ideal. Mars in strong sextile (within 1.7 degrees) with Saturn The planetary energies flow together, open into new possibilities, new connections. You tend to be reserved and to desire to better yourself. This aspect gives a deepening and concentration in the area of self-confidence and self-expression. The purposeful articulation of your will may be inhibited by subconscious fears, but this can be overcome. You have unusually good reasoning power, and your will is controlled and well organized. Your lesson is in striving to overcome your fears of self-expression, and thus come to a better understanding of yourself and others. The Edgar Cayce readings state that the trine/sextile aspects bring an understanding from the spiritual and soul forces of the entity into consciousness. True soul growth is realized through the day-by-day application in our situations and relationships of spiritual and mental insights and ideals. You are good and kind, considerate of others, and are friendly and easy_going. You need to feel an emotional sympathy in order for your work to be satisfying to you. You are capable of great belief in the unknown and unproven, and are inclined to the mystical, seeing life in terms of visionary and

poetic feelings, rather than in practical terms. You may be even too much inclined to trust your imagination, which can cloud your powers of judgment. You benefit from attaining a more practical and reality-based view of life. Uranus in strong square (within 1.7 degrees) with Pluto The planetary energies conflict; internal and creative tensions bring rich rewards through effort over time. This combination gives an individual who is willful and possesses great depth of passion. This is a generational aspect, which many of your contemporaries will share with you. You are to an unusual degree tuned in to the energy of the collective, especially with regard to the ultimate transformation of society. You have a keen intuition and great power to transform yourself and your personal relationships as you evolve. You may have an unconventional approach where sexual matters are concerned, or with interpersonal relationships (especially when this conjunction makes aspects to „personal‟ planets in your chart). At your best, you are compassionate toward your fellow man, and you are inclined to be a helper in the creation of a new world, based on humanitarian ideals of universal brotherhood. Mercury in conjunction (within 4.1 degrees) with Venus The strongest blend of the energies represented by these two planets. You like to dress attractively, although not necessarily expensively, and are for the most part cheerful and optimistic. You are likely to have a pleasant speaking or singing voice, and express yourself well in speech or writing. You also can be extremely persuasive in a quiet way. Mercury in quintile (within 0.6 degrees) with Pluto The planetary energies are positively linked, subtle, and spiritual in dimension. This aspect gives a sharp and penetrating mind, together with unusually clear and direct communication skills. You are likely to be quite interested in the occult, or other hidden and potentially taboo areas of thought. As a matter of fact, you tend to see into the deeper aspects of any subject matter that you might single out for study, and are able to discourse forcefully upon it. You should beware of a tendency to be manipulative in your dealings with other people, since you have a forceful will in association with your powers of speech and communication. You can be a great source of inspiration when you use your powers of insight and expression responsibly, enabling you to share your gift with humanity Mercury in semi-square (within 1.5 degrees) with Chiron The planetary energies conflict in determined subtle tension; calmness is required. With this placement you may exhibit difficulties in communication or in how you express your ideas. There may be painful realizations in your background in connection with how you expressed yourself while a youngster. Stuttering is one possible manifestation of this type of influence. You probably experienced a wounding in your earliest exploration with other youngsters, possibly siblings. With this placement you are clever, yet there is blocking and frustration, until you begin to gain more conscious understanding of the ways in which you have been wounded, and also unconsciously wounded others. You also have a sharp and very intuitive mind. When you begin the process of transforming your painful memories into clear pictures with less emotion attached to them, you'll discover healing energy within your own psyche, and for your communication with others as well. Venus in quintile (within 1.5 degrees) with Jupiter The planetary energies are positively linked, subtle, and spiritual in dimension. This aspect gives a refined and idealistic nature. You always see the big picture but may miss out on the practicalities along the way. You are incredibly optimistic, and see opportunity in everything. You may therefore suffer from a lack of focus, and not knowing what you really want. You are perhaps too easily influenced by others, and may have difficulty in making decisions. You are a great lover of art and beauty, and are very social and attractive. The strongest blend of the energies represented by these two planets. This conjunction gives a personality with a deepening and concentration, or a blockage in the area of interpersonal relationships. You are sensitive and have a strong sense of duty. You are likely to be very loyal. You may have experienced coldness from one parent, or early love experiences may have proven painful, and as a result you may seem cold or uncaring yourself at times. You may also express jealousy or other feelings of insecurity, which may also manifest as a nagging discontent with life in general. You may experience sorrow and difficulty in marriage. In a woman's chart there may be feelings of unattractiveness or fears regarding your femininity. You could feel bitterness and disillusion with romance or there could be fears of rejection concerning romantic contacts. Yet you also have an opportunity to rise above these circumstances in concentrated effort over time toward inner integration and balance, toward relationship more fully explored and felt, based on the self-confidence born of actual experience and mutual understanding. Jupiter in quintile (within 1.2 degrees) with Saturn The planetary energies are positively linked, subtle, and spiritual in dimension. This aspect gives a serious and conscientious personality. You are strong morally, and likely to be socially active. You are quietly ambitious, with a good sense about you that impresses other people. You may make an excellent manager, and have talent for working with the public. You desire to be a force for good in society. If you live up to this ideal, you will be a natural leader, being optimistic, yet practical, and possessing excellent judgment. For the early part of your life you may tend to hide your light under a basket; your powers are likely to grow as you mature. Jupiter in trine (within 4.1 degrees) with Chiron The planetary energies flow smoothly; the connection is easy and beneficial. With this placement you have a strong connection with spirituality and a great tendency to go your own way rather than subserve yourself to the spiritual ideals of human consciousness. You also may have been wounded in your spirituality in some way; perhaps in your early life you were forced into relationship with some sort of spiritual community to which you did not feel a deep bond. These two planetary energies, Jupiter and Chiron, both have a strong spiritual component, but operate in different ways. With Jupiter's optimism in support of Chiron's tendency for pain and suffering as a way toward the light, you are always able to rise above distressing circumstances, buoyed up by a strong streak of faith in the ultimate beneficence of Spirit. In fact, positive outlooks can become something of an obsession with you, so that friends and associates get tired of your unflagging optimism even though you are such a helpful companion. You have an abiding interest in matters of the religion and philosophy, although this is likely to represent your own style of spiritual involvement rather than any standard form of spiritual institutions. The Edgar Cayce readings state that the trine/sextile aspects bring an understanding from the spiritual and soul forces of the entity into consciousness. True soul growth is realized through the

day-by-day application in our situations and relationships of spiritual and mental insights and ideals. The trine/sextile aspect allows these insights to flow more readily, but they must be applied in your daily life to be effective. Saturn in quintile (within 1.9 degrees) with Pluto The planetary energies are positively linked, subtle, and spiritual in dimension. This combination gives a forceful personality with good organizational and leadership skills. It is also possible that occult studies will attract and fascinate you. With your natural leadership abilities, you have a good foundation for success in the worldly arena. You should beware however of letting any issues you may have with maintaining the security of a leadership position, prevent you from experiencing necessary growth and development. You benefit from striving for transforming the urge for power and control, based on a more conscious and socially responsible use of your personal power. Saturn in semi-square (within 0.2 degrees) with Chiron The planetary energies conflict in determined subtle tension; calmness is required. With this aspect, you may have a tendency be rigid or stuck in situations; unbending. You have an attachment and also great difficulty with authority. You may have suffered through potentially painful experiences as a child, when you were forced to submit to an arbitrary authority or limitation of some kind. The relationship with your father may have been damaged in some way; perhaps it was a relationship you had to get away from, either from his overbearing nature or from his neediness and lack of presence. With this aspect, you need to make your own form of personal authority, independent from the parental influences or that of society. This gives you the potential for great strength and leadership, if you can integrate your powerful and perhaps repressed emotions regarding your concept of authority. In this way you can become an exemplar for others. You may be one to re-work the structure of society itself in some way, or to become an advisor or even a leader in the social sphere; perhaps in connection with organizations devoted to new age healing techniques. Pluto in sextile (within 3.1 degrees) with Midheaven The planetary energies flow together, open into new possibilities, new connections. This combination gives a forceful personality with a focus on issues of authority, power and control. There may in fact be a compulsion for control manifesting in problems with interpersonal relations or in rebellious attitudes toward established authority, or perhaps in the charismatic personal magnetism of the natural leader. What is needed is a reevaluation and transformation of the urge for power and control, based on a deeper understanding of personal power and a more conscious and socially responsible use of it. The Edgar Cayce readings state that the trine/sextile aspects bring an understanding from the spiritual and soul forces of the entity into consciousness. be effective. Chiron in semi-sextile (within 1.9 degrees) with Midheaven The planetary energies attract each other, require effort, allow entry of new information. With this aspect of Chiron and your Midheaven, you likely have issues around exerting personal will versus knuckling under to authority. You have enormous energy and endurance at your disposal, although you may appear timid or unsure of yourself, since your power urge is likely to be repressed. It may be that you have had many painful experiences with authority. As a result of these experiences, you may fear the expression of your own personal power, and alternate between complying with the standards of society around you, or rebelling against them. You may avoid situations where a direct confrontation seems to be brewing. You also may feel more empowered in helping others than in getting your own act together, and this aspect can be the sign of someone with a career in the helping professions, perhaps involved with new age healing. It is often the case that the powerful emotions associated with this aspect hover below the level of conscious awareness in your psyche. As you become more aware of these patterns, you will less and less need to act them out either suppressed with passivity, or with bluster. Another manifestation of this aspect, perhaps paradoxically, is the ability to lead and be willful, to not take “no for an answer”, to be ruthless in accomplishing one‟s aims. A better level of integration produces a newly self-assured personality whereby you do not depend on others either to fully express your own desires, nor to be swayed by theirs. When you have integrated the walled-off places in your psyche that inhibit action on the part of your whole entire self, you are available to yourself in situations of leadership, as well as in truly helping other people. Moon in weak trine (within 8.5 degrees) with Jupiter The planetary energies flow smoothly; the connection is easy and beneficial. This aspect gives an idealistic and humanitarian personality, friendly and sociable, with an inherent spirituality. You are loving and caring and are also strong in character, with a keen sense of right and wrong. You are fortunate in finances, and attract material rewards without seeming to try for them. You are honorable and dependable in your dealings with your fellow man, and work well with the public. There may be an inclination toward the mystical side of life. Moon in weak square (within 10.7 degrees) with Uranus The planetary energies conflict; internal and creative tensions bring rich rewards through effort over time. This aspect gives eccentric personality with volatile emotions, and a strong sense of intuition. You are likely to have changeable emotions, and may appear unpredictable at times to others around you. Novelty

excites you; you may change your residence frequently, or be tempted into starting a new career. You also may feel insecure at times, possibly stemming from a disrupted home life in your early years, or from parents who were quite busy with their own affairs. Your early home life may also have been very stimulating and challenging. You are likely to go through fundamental transformations of identity in your life, and you are stifled if these impulses are not allowed expression. You are so individualistic you may have difficulties in settling down with a steady partner. You can benefit from learning to balance your needs for security with your urge for freedom and experimentation. Moon in weak conjunction (within 6.9 degrees) with Neptune The strongest blend of the energies represented by these two planets. This conjunction gives an emotionally sensitive, idealistic and loving personality. You possess an ethereal quality, and are likely to be imaginative or even to withdraw from the world into internal fantasies of your own. You may have powerful psychic abilities. You are the softhearted type, and you are perhaps even too willing to sacrifice yourself for the good of others. You were probably strongly influenced by your home life, and may tend to idealize these formative experiences. You could have issues with self-deception or experience discontent with the practical realities of life for the urge within you to seek the highest ideal is very strong. Your home is important to you, and you may change residences frequently in search of your ideal environment, or dream of the ideal romantic attachment without ever finding the perfect mate. You benefit from striving for greater self-control in holding back your emotions, as well as clarity in applying your high ideals to the real world of logic and fact. The Edgar Cayce readings state that the conjunction of influences adds intensity to the impelling influences of these in one‟s daily experience. Cayce encourages us to keep the body and mind in as near normal balance as possible, while flowing with the motivating, spiritual forces involved in such a conjunction. Remember your ideal. be effective. Mars in weak trine (within 7.5 degrees) with Neptune The planetary energies flow smoothly; the connection is easy and beneficial. You possess a good understanding of and balance between the practical and the ideal. You have a personal magnetism that can strongly influence other people. You are able to create images in the minds of others. You are very creative, and also very tolerant and understanding. You are likely to be quite sensitive to the needs of others, and may have the talent of a natural healer. You can also be vague regarding your own motivation or fall into periods of discontent with life in the material plane. You can benefit from clarifying your aims, and learning to focus your power and become a channel for its higher use in your life and that of society around you. The Edgar Cayce readings state that the trine/sextile aspects bring an understanding from the spiritual and soul forces of the entity into consciousness. True soul growth is realized through the day-by-day application in our situations and relationships of spiritual and mental insights and ideals. There are often conditions when every situation in life appears to be just on the verge of success, when from unexpected sources in nature or the actions of individuals everything turns topsy-turvy. Meet every such situation with your ideal in mind. Uranus in weak trine (within 6.7 degrees) with Chiron The planetary energies flow smoothly; the connection is easy and beneficial. With this aspect, you are prone to sudden insights and departures. You have a unusual combination of personality traits in which you are both very unconventional yet also somewhat unsure of yourself in your very departure from the rest of society, so that you may surprisingly show flashes of a conservative side.

You have a brilliant mind, and are undoubtedly a witty conversationalist, although with a slightly erratic tendency to switch topics arbitrarily. This aspect is the hallmark of an inventor or other type of creative thinker, perhaps in the health fields or the helping professions. You are likely to have great difficulties with walking the straight and narrow but something seems to be forcing you to. Or it is a compulsion based on your own painful experiences with authority. It is important to become more conscious of your hidden motivations and patterns, so as not to be ruled by them from below, as it were. Neptune in weak conjunction (within 5.7 degrees) with Chiron The strongest blend of the energies represented by these two planets. With this combination of planetary energies in your chart, you have probably gone to the depths and back again in your life. You have a particularly strong access to the world of dreams and inner fantasy, which may serve as an escape valve for you. You may also be extremely sensitive to the psyches of others, may vicariously experience their pain. Something keeps you out of touch with consensus reality, but you also are not comfortable with this role. It is as if you stand on the other side of a glass door from the rest of society, through which you alternately gaze longingly and then lose interest and wander away into your own fantasy. You are capable of tremendous spiritual powers once you have begun to work through these difficulties and establish a better sense of where you stand vis a vis the remainder of society. You may exhibit great poetic or musical talent or the empathy of a born healer. Having come through a painful examination of your own psyche you are able to see more clearly and compassionately into the minds of others also.
