The feedback from students was taken twice during each semester about the course and teacher by the

assessment committee. The responses were evaluated on 5-point scale. The score below 2.5 is

considered as non-satisfactory. All the responses given by the students were satisfactory.

Feedback was also collected from the parents during teacher-parent meeting, Employers during campus

3.26. Major Activities during the year in the sphere of extension activities and Institutional Social

Responsibility

Faculty and students are encouraged to participate in carrying out social outreach programs.

Information regarding these programs is disseminated through notices and teacher-in-charge of NSS in

charge. The aim of these activities is to involve the students in the broad based chapter of nation

building and social responsibility. Institute appreciates the services provided by students and faculty by

considering their working for such activities as on duty. Some of the salient contributions of RCPSR to

social responsibilities include:

1. Health Camps: In continuation of its human endeavour and to bring about health awareness to the

people in the region, the Health Camps have been regularly organized by the NSS unit of RCPSR

under “Mukhyamantri Balsandarbha Yojana” in the slum areas of Bhilai. The aim of the health

camps is to spread health awareness, health assessment, and to provide health counseling. The

students of the RCPSR, Bhilai evaluates general health parameters like hemoglobin levels, blood

pressure, blood sugar, BMI check-up and body weight of women. The NSS team also give

valuable information and suggestions to the people regarding maintenance of general hygienic

conditions during their day to day activities. Moreover, team offers free neutraceuticals to them.

Through this activity, the pharmacy students became aware about their social responsibilities as a

pharmacist. This human endeavour of RCPSR has been well received and appreciated by the

public.

2. Blood donation camps: The NSS Unit of RCPSR has organized at least one Blood Donation

Camps every year in collaboration with Durg District Hospital Blood Bank, Red Cross Society or

Apollo Hospital, Bhilai. The activity is carried out under the supervision of Medical Officers. The

faculty members donate the blood and motivate the students for the blood donation. Students and

staff members of Santosh Rungta Group of Institutions, Bhilai have voluntarily donated the blood

with a great enthusiasm. NSS team is honoured and feel privileged to make Blood Donation an

annual event of celebration.

3. Health Awareness programmes: The NSS of RCPSR Bhilai has been engaged in conducting

awareness programmes. We have adopted village Dhour under “Gode Gram Yojana” and

organized seminar in Government Higher Secondary School of the village. The main objectives of

the seminar were to create awareness among the students about various first aid measures that they

can take in case of common and life threatening emergencies like road accidents, snake bite etc.

The Participants were the Students and the Faculty Members of Government Higher Secondary

School, Dhour; and the Faculties and the Volunteers of RCPSR, Bhilai.

4. Health Awareness rallies: On the occasion of National Pharmacy Week or World Pharmacist

Day, we have been organized various health awareness rallies on the various health problems.

Students prepare banners and organized Nukkad Natak to aware the people about the health related

issues. This human endeavour of RCPSR has been well received and appreciated by the public.
