Resume
Dr. Abhijit Vasantrao Jamode born in Amravati of Maharastra state received his
B.Tech. Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1995 from Amravati University, and carry
his Ph.D researches work in J.D.I.E.T. Yavatmal. He specializes in Adsorption using
Low Cost Adsorbents. His current interests are Artificial Neural Network,
Deflouriditation, Academic Administration, student carrier management, and Industry
institute interaction policies.
Dr. Jamode started his carrier in the Chemox Chemicals at Ankeleshwar, (G.S.),
as a shift in charge in Batch process in Sodium Methoxol Plant then he shifted to
Continuous Manual process as a shift engineer in Formaldehyde & Hexamine plant. To
get accommodate modern technology he get engage as a production engineer in
Acetaldehyde & Acetic Acid Plant which is Continuous Auto (PLC-3) plant.
With the intentions to serve the society and for preserving his research tendency
he shifted toward Academic profession and join at University Department of Chemical
Technology, Amravati University, Amravati in 1996 there he served in the capacity of
Lecturer, along with the teaching he carry the various portfolios in academic and
administration areas of university. He engage his lectures at post graduate level and at
B.Tech Level with the core subjects of chemical Engineering such as Process
calculation, Heat and Mass transfer, Process Dynamics & Control, Unit Operation. Apart
from the teaching lot of time he spent on the planning for development of the
department.
He joined Jawaharlal Darda Institute of Engineering & Technology; Yavatmal
now called JDIET as Lecture and Head of chemical Engineering in 1997. Apart from the
administrative post in the department he has held many positions of responsibility at
different levels in academic such as chairman of Students Welfare, chairman of
Academic Affairs, Warden and Chief Warden etc. He has been actively engaged in
teaching and research at undergraduate and also in consultancy services. He has
published over 50 research papers in national and international journals and contributed
a large number of articles in conferences and seminars. He has guided 81 students of
B.Tech. for their seminars and near about 71 for projects and rendered consultancy
services to a number of institutions/Organisations. He has also worked on several
Research Projects, which is directly related to social economic development. He has
visited several institutes to study the Management of Technical Education System.
Dr.Jamode headed the Quality Assurance Bureau and has been actively involved
in Quality Assurance movement of Institute. He has participated in several accreditation
workshops all over the country. He always busy in visiting the various industries and
institutions to know the current trend, which would be implement in his department so as
to give benefit to his students. He is coordinator for various programs like State level
paper competitions, Entrepreneurship camp, district level Working Model Competitions,
Pollution Awareness camp, etc. He presents lot of presentation in Conferences also, he
invite as a resource person in various technical events. He regularly delivers the
lectures on the various topics on Chemical Engineering & environmental Engineering at
various institutes.
Dr.Jamode has work upon the Low Cost Defluoridation process development
from last Four year, and got huge success to solve the problem of Fluorosis (Diseases
cause by consuming Fluoridated water) from near by district of Chandrapur, Amaravati,
Akola and Yavatmal his work is appreciated by various agencies and he had
interviewed on All India Radio, DD-1 Doordarshan, Sahyandri Channel. The several
newspapers cover this achievement and publish it so that affected people get benefit of
this technology. He has been actively associated with low cost defluoridation
management and developmental work of several rural areas throughout the country.
