Speed AvailabilityThis section illustrates the differences in download, upload, and combinationdownload/ upload speed availability in rural vs. urban areas.
MapThe map illustrates the difference in speed availability,in terms of percent of population, for the download > 3mbps, upload > 768 kbps speed tier. This is calculatedby subtracting the percent of the population withaccess to this speed in rural areas from the percent of
the population with access to this speed in urban areas.
ChartThis chart displays thepercent of urban andrural populations withineach state with reported
broadband speeds of 3mbps download and 768kbps upload.
