Department of Biotechnology
Department of Biotechnology, FSH, SRMIST, has been established in the year 2003, with twin objectives of creating a research oriented division with inter-disciplinary focus with quality teaching, research and training programs across the interdisciplinary areas of life sciences. The Department has been visualized to emerge as a hub for state of the art research in all elds related to Molecular Biology, Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, Nano-Technology, Cancer Biology, and Genetics.
The Department of Biotechnology offers B.Sc., Biotechnology, M.Sc Biotechnology, and Ph.D Programmes. The faculty members in the Department are actively involved in research in thrust areas such as Nanotechnology, Plant biotechnology, Animal biotechnology, Stem cell biology, Clinical bio-chemistry, Cancer biology, Molecular biology, Genetic engineering and Marine biotechnology.
Conference Theme
The focus of the conference is to learn and analyze the multidisciplinary modules of biotechnology and to study the key concepts in latest innovations in biotechnology oriented tools. The conference consists of plenary lectures from invited speakers and oral presentation/posters by the delegates.

Abstract Submission
Abstracts based on the above themes are invited for paper presentation from Students, Research scholars, Faculty and scientists of Life Science subjects. Abstracts should not exceed 250 words typed in MS Word, with 12 font size, Times New Roman and 1.5 line spacing. A precise title should be followed by names of the authors (with the presenting author underlined), afliation and address of the Institution. The assessment committee reserves all right to select an abstract for both oral and poster presentation.
The abstracts should reach us through email on or before 20/02/2018.
