On behalf of the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA), I am incredibly excited to invite you and your organisation to be apart of the 2019 AOPA Congress at Crown Conference Centre, a stunning 5-star venue located in the heart of Melbourne.

The AOPA Congress is the leading event for the orthotic/prosthetic industry in Australia ensuring unequivocal access to the profession. The 2018 AOPA Congress was our most successful interstate event to date with more than 370 delegates from around the country and the globe in attendance. Leveraging from the success of last years event, the 2019 three-day program will again feature one day of practical workshops and two days of international keynote speakers, podium presentations, AOPA forums and social events.

The 2019 AOPA Congress theme, “Innovation in Action”, will lead our workshop, keynote and free paper presenters to consider the diverse range of innovative activity in orthotics and prosthetics. Delegates will be provided with three days of exciting innovation and advanced techniques across the orthotic and prosthetic spectrum, including “Design, Manufacture and Clinical Practice”, with a focus on real time, implementable learnings. Via the exhibition, practical workshops and sponsorship arrangements, your company will have the opportunity to position itself as an industry leader, expert and trusted advisor for orthotist/prosthetists in Australia.

Exhibition Hall

The 2019 AOPA Congress provides over 1,000 square metres of premium exhibition space with an open and flexible layout. Opportunities for engagement with Congress delegates are bolstered by the unique open, floorplan and networking areas.

The 2019 Exhibition floorplan provides a range of packages to meet all needs, including standard, large and premium booths and sites, as well as branding café and lounge sponsorship options. This provides an opportunity to tailor your presence in the Exhibition Hall to meet your specific needs.

The catering, including morning coffee, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be hosted within the exhibitor area and strategically placed to ensure even flow of delegates thoughout the Hall. Whilst the Exhibition Hall is downstairs from the main plenary and breakout rooms, the extended breaks, café and lounge will ensure delegates congregate in the Exhibition Hall, and the openness of the floorplan will maximise delegate movement.

A key feature of AOPA events is the Congress Café featuring an all day barista service and café chairs and

tables. This is located at the back of the Exhibition Hall in a secluded, intimate networking environment and will draw delegates through the hall. Complimenting the café is the introduction of the ‘Lounge’ to this years event. This will include lounge seating and coffee tables for delegates to gather during the breaks and will likely be a central hub within the Exhibition Hall.

Exhibition packages will be assigned on a first-to-respond basis, and can be secured by phone or email. AOPA reserves the right to fill booths and add additional booths at its discretion. All Exhibitors must abide by the Terms and Conditions, outlined in the Exhibitor Manual provided upon confirmation.

We are back in Melbourne and the ever popular Congress Café returns. This year our café is located just outside of the Exhibitor Hall, with only one point of access via the Hall. It will be complete with cafe style seating and full branding options, including a screen for promotional content of your choice. Delegates will receive coffee vouchers for each day of the congress. The Congress Café sponsor will have full options to brand the vouchers, coffee cups and customise the café design.

Congress Lounge: 1 available, $2,490 (inc GST)

We know our delegates love to catch up with colleagues and network, so this year we are introducing the Congress Lounge! Centrally located between the Supersites and on the way towards the café, the Congress Lounge will have low lying seating and coffee tables and negotiated branding options, including displays and suspended banners. The Congress Lounge sponsor will have the opportunity to work with the congress committee and customise the lounge design.

Following the success of previous years, this year’s event continues with Day One consisting of a full workshop program. Don’t miss out this year as our Workshops were popular with delegates and exhibitors alike. There is no need to hire an off-site venue to launch your new products or demonstrate new technologies - as you will have access to all of the delegates here in the one space! This is your opportunity to promote your specific areas of expertise and share your clinical and practical knowledge with delegates, so secure your position now! Each workshop will have capacity restrictions to keep these workshops intimate and interactive whilst also maximising the ability to learn and engage.

We know exhibitors want more workshop options and our delegates want to attend more, so this year we are introducing shorter 1.5 hour workshops in to the program. This will enable delegates to choose a variety of short and long workshops and maximise their day one attendance, whilst allowing exhibitors to tailor shorter messages and content.

Following from a full day workshop stream for technicians, AOPA is pleased to provide a welcome event for Orthotic and Prosthetic Technicians. This event will be held in the Exhibitor area, directly in front of the sponsors exhibition booth and display. Drink and canapes will be served in this location and our sponsor will be invited to provide a welcome address. This event will be free for registered Technicians and will allow this group to mingle and network in a relaxed environment. The event sponsors will have a unique opportunity to collaborate with AOPA in the design, branding and formatting of this event.

Congress Awards: $1,095 (inc GST)

The Congress will include multiple free paper presentations related to the theme of ‘Innovation in Action’. Each year, AOPA formally recognizes the hard work of our presenters by providing a ‘Best Congress Free Paper Award’. These awards will be judged by a select team of AOPA members. A single representative from your company will be included in the team of judges. At the conclusion of the Congress, your company representative will be invited on stage to present the award to the recipient. This prize consists of free attendance at the 2020 Congress to encourage ongoing professional development and peer networking amongst the profession.

Pens: $250 (inc GST)

Our Congress attendees love to take notes in their customized notebook. We therefore invite a sponsor to provide company pens for inclusion in each delegate’s satchel. This is a great marketing strategy for your organisation as our attendees will continue to use their pens long after the Congress is over. Please note, sponsoring this package requires you to provide 400 pens.
