About the College :New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE), established in 2001, a unit of the New Horizon Educational and Cultural Trust, offers quality education in both Engineering and Management programs. The college is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. NHCE has the prestigious accreditation of NBA, NAAC with ‘A’ Grade. It is ISO 9001:2008 certified Institution, NHCE has also reached one more milestone by achieving Autonomous Status from the Academic Year 2015-16 by VTU and Government of Karnataka.NHCE has made efforts to provide an unique platform to showcase the innovative and creative skills of our budding engineers across the country in general and Karnataka in particular to demonstrate their engineering projects during the “Inter – Collegiate Project Exhibition – TecHorizon 2019” which have been the real manifestation of future entrepreneurs / technopreneurs.

About the Department :NHCE, one of the top engineering colleges offers automobile engineering program. The department of Automobile Engineering is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).The Department was established in the year 2012, offers a right mix of curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Students improve their technical skill by participating in various workshops, expert lectures, activity based assignments, innovative projects, industry oriented programs and the SAE events. Employability skills of students are enhanced through various Value Added Programs. It has an intake of 60 students Automobile Engineering is one of the most challenging careers with a wide scope. This branch deals with the designing, developing, manufacturing, testing, repairing and servicing of automobiles such as cars, trucks etc., & the related sub systems. Automotive Industry has been growing in recent times due to the increasing demand for vehicles and the job prospects have also increased rapidly. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, automobiles have entered the lives and livelihoods of almost everyone. They are the most convenient invention since the bicycle. Toyota, Volkswagen, General Motors , BMW, Ford, Honda and are a few examples oflarge automobile companies that produce vehicles annually in the global market and Maruti Suzuki, TATA, Ashok Leyland and Mahindra in India. Cars have enabled people to travel around quicker than they used to and made the life of mankind much more luxurious, convenient and safe.

About TecHorizon'19:TecHorizon'19 is an organized presentation and display of models/working projects competition. It is the idea of sharing knowledge. It is also an endeavor to foster and enhance the culture of scientific inquiry and its relevance in real world applications and underline the strong connection among student community. The TecHorizon'19 will motivate the students to a whole new level as they demonstrate their projects to other students, representatives from Institutes, industry etc. getting their views, reviews & appreciations.

General Rules and Guidelines for competition:Each team can have minimum of 1 to maximum of 4 members. The competition is for 4th year engineering students only.Members should have a valid student ID card of their college.A team can participate in only one project presentation.Abstract should be sent to the following link http://bit.ly/techorizon19
