The Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize Award 2018
Sg membrane consortium formed
The United Arab Emirates, UAE, has earmarked over $200 billion to invest in smart utilities and renewable energy projects, and Abu Dhabi is modernising its utilities sector. To bolster exchanges with the UAE in water management, PUB has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy on 20 February 2018. This facilitates mutual sharing of experience in water-quality monitoring technologies and operations of the water and wastewater networks.
The Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize recognis-es Dr Colwell’s pioneering work in micro-bial water quality surveillance, and break-through techniques to tackle waterborne diseases and protect public health.
