The theatre band more popularly known as the Natyadhara is a part of the Saptadhara

initiative of the Government of Gujarat. The Saptadhara scheme of the government

includes seven bands or clusters of activities to cater to the all round development of

the students of Colleges and Universities in the state. Various theatrical activities are

organized under Natyadhara with the aim of exposing the students to the intricacies of

theatre. The scripts are selected on the basis of its social relevance. During the academic

Some glimpses of the Street Play

On 13th February, 2017, on the eve of National Women’s day the students exhibited a drama

titled ‘Bekhwaff’. The drama was based on the topic of women empowerment. It showcased

the various stages in the life of women and the issues and problems that she encounters. The

title is suggestive of the fact that the drama exhibited the fearless nature of women today. It was

a drama showcased exclusively by our girl students. The drama was written and directed by the

students. Our students really enjoyed the entire process and the drama was a great success.
