History

• Nautilus created the Training Alliance in

collaboration with oil and gas companies in 1998

to develop a programme of training courses in

petroleum geosciences, reservoir and production

engineering.

Quality Assurance

• A thorough quality assurance and feedback process,

supported by periodic external review, ensures

courses of the highest quality.

Expert Tutors

• We have built up a portfolio of over 400 courses

delivered by tutors who are subject matter experts

as professional practitioners with many years

of experience or academics with cutting-edge

knowledge of the subject areas.

Comprehensive Technical Portfolio

• A wide range of professional training courses in

topics across the energy industry. Courses are

framed within a competency matrix of subject areas

and skills levels: learning outcomes for each course

are defi ned to ensure participants meet training

objectives.

Field-Based Training

• Unrivalled selection of fi eld-based training courses

in North America, Canada, Europe, South Africa,

Borneo and Australia that combine visiting outcrops

with classroom-based study to provide participants

with a unique learning environment.

Health and Safety

• The NTA is the fi rst provider of Geoscience and

Engineering training courses to have had their fi eld

Health, Safety and Course Management systems

independently verifi ed and accredited. In July 2014

we achieved conformance with the BSi Standard

BS8848:2014.

Courses and Workshops

• Classroom events ranging from one day focussed

workshops to one week courses delivered in North

America, Europe, Australia and the Asia-Pacifi c

region.

Professional Skills Development

• We work with clients to understand short and long

term business objectives, and assess the ‘gaps’ that

will require an intervention in order to achieve their

goals. Support can be provided as tailored sessions

with key members of staff or classes.

Enhanced Learning - 3D Outcrop Models

• 3D outcrop models provide a means of displaying

geological features seen in outcrop, in a more

detailed, interactive way, allowing both the

tutor and the participants to better visualise key
