The United States Naval Academy and the Naval Academy Athletic Association

As the undergraduate college of the Naval service, the Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Students attend the Academy for four years. Naval Academy students are Midshipmen on active duty in the U.S. Navy. Midshipmen graduate with bachelor of science degrees and serve at least five years as Navy or Marine Corps officers.

The Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA) is a non-profit 501 c 3 and all dollars are invested into the challenge of operating 33 Intercollegiate Sports for 4,400 Midshipmen.

Navy Football 2015 Record and Review

• Navy Football’s first season in the American Athletic Conference went down as one of the most successful seasons in program history…

• Defeated Army & Air Force Capturing the Commander in Chief’s Trophy

• Final Record: 11-2• Military Bowl Champions• American Athletic Conference Co-Western Division

Champions• Only 2 losses were to ranked opponents

• Finished the 2015 season ranked 18th by both the Associated Press and the Coaches Poll, which is the highest finish by a Navy team since 1963.

• Head Coach Ken Niumatalolo is now the all-time winningest coach at Navy having just completed his eighth season.

• Navy has defeated Army 14 consecutive years, won 9 Commander-in-Chief’s Trophies in the last 12 years and has played in 12 bowl games in the last 13 years.
