SHOW RULES & REGULATIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS TO EXHIBITORS
1. The show will be held under the rules of the Irish Kennel Club Limited.2. The show will be held at the National Show Centre, Cloghran, Co Dublin on Sunday 17th May 2020. Judging will commence in all rings at 10.00 am3. No claim will be considered in the event of an exhibit being late for its class. No persons will be allowed into the judging ring except the Judge, Show Officials, or an exhibitor taking a dog in for adjudication. The exhibit number of each dog much be clearly displayed by its handler.4. In the event of any appointed Judge failing to keep his/her appointment, the Committee reserve the right to appoint another Judge or Judges.5. The Committee reserve the right to alter the proposed order of judging if this should become necessary.6. Entry Fees: First dog €24.00 / Stg£24.00. Each subsequent dog: €8.00 / Stg£8.00. Stakes Classes €8.00 / Stg£8.00 per dog. Baby Puppies only €5.00 / Stg£5.00. Entries will be received up to and including Friday 24th April, 2020 (Postal). Online entries will be taken until midnight on Monday 4th May, 2020 at www.enterourshow.com.7. The Committee reserve the right to eject any entry, advert or other insertion in the Catalogue.8. Ineligible Entries: a transfer of an incorrect entry as to the sex or breed is allowed if reported to the Secretary’s Office prior to commencement of judging. A dog entered in a Class for which is it not eligible may be transferred to the Open Class in that breed, but in no other respects.9. Registrations: All dogs entered for competition at this Show must be registered at the IKC Ltd, Unit 36, Greenmount Office Park, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6.10. A Judge will be empowered to withhold any prizes of Green Stars if, in his/her opinion, the ex-hibits are not of sufficient merit.11. The Catalogue WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE IF PREPAID price €4.00 / Stg£4.00 12. Car Park is FREE13. The Catalogue will be compiled from the entry forms and while every effort will be made to have the forms correctly interpreted, the Committee cannot accept any responsibility or mistakes, which may bring exhibitors within the purview of the IKC Ltd, Rule 15, Secton 1, or for clerical errors that may occur during compilation.14. The Promoting Body will not be responsible for any loss or damage sustained through accident by exhibits, exhibitors, or other persons attending the show. 15. The Promoting Body shall be the Show Committee and all disputes shall be dealt with by the Show Committee. Parties to any dispute shall have the right to appeal to the IKC Ltd.16. Exhibitors must clean up after the dogs. Suitable facilities will be provided for this purpose. Any Exhibitor found not cleaning up after their dog will be liable to a €30 fine.

Failure to comply with the above will result in (a) the dog being disqualified from the event, and

CLASS DEFINITIONS
In the following definitions any award which counts towards the title of Champion under the rules of any Governing Body recognised by the Irish Kennel Club will be regarded as the equivalent of a Green Star. Similarly, the title of Champion is contiued as if it were attained under the rules of the Irish Kennel Club:A Baby Puppy Class is confined to dogs of 4 months and under 6 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth.A Puppy Class is confined to dogs of 6 months and under 12 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth.A Junior Class is confined to dogs between 9 and 18 months of age on the day of the Show comput-ed from and inclusive of the date of its birth.An Intermediate Class is for dogs between 15 and 24 months of age on the day of the Show com-puted from and inclusive of the date of its birth. An Adult Class is confined to dogs of over 24 months and under 36 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth.An Open Class is for dogs over 15 mnths of age on the first day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth.A Champion Class is for dogs who have gained the title of Champion under Irish Kennel Club Rules or under a recognised Kennel authority confirmed by the date of closing of entries of the Show.A Veteran Class is for dogs over 8 years of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth.NOTE: (a) a Veteran dog/bitch who is also a Champion may be entered in either Veteran or Champion but not both. (b) a Dog or Bitch may be entered in one breed class only.A Breeders Class is for a minimum or three and a maximum of five exhibits of the same breed and variety without distinction of sex, bred by the same person (same kennel name) even if they are not his/her property.

AN INTRODUCTION TO OUR JUDGES
Mr Mervyn Webb: We are delighted to have Mervyn judge for us, he is a popular exhibitor and breeder of Shetland Sheepdogs along with his wife Ann under their Casselweb affix and is much sought after and popular judge. We are sure you will enjoy his judging of the Stakes Classes.
Mr Marc Degeeter (Belgium): It is a pleasure to welcome Marc on his first visit to Ireland. He is one of the most popular and knowledgable judges on the scene and are sure you will reward him with a bumper entry.
Mrs Hassi Assenmacher-Feyel (Germany): Successful and popular breeder/exhibitor of Dobermann Pinschers, Hassi became and International FCI Judge in 1975 and an All Breeds Judge in 1987. A return visit for Hassi and we are sure she will get a super entry and hope she enjoys her judging at Navan Dog Show.
Mr Jiri Janda (Czech Republic): We are delighted to welcome Jiri to Ireland for his first time officiating here. A Group 2 Specialist, Jiri’s own breed is Newfoundlands and we are sure he will draw a great entry.
Mr Martin Sipkovsky (Slovakia): It’s a pleasure to welcome Martin to Ireland to judge for us, he is a Group 5 specialist and has a wealth of knowledge in the Spitz breeds. We hope he enjoys his day at Navan Dog Show and his first visit to Ireland. Mr Hans Joachim-Dux (German): A warm welcome to Hans on a return visit to Ireland.
