- Log into your Student Naviance Account (NHS Guidance Naviance)
- Update your Naviance email to match the email you used for the Common Application (we recommend using a personal email address)
1. Login to Naviance2. Select About Me3. My Account
a. Located under their name4. Under Contact, Click Edit5. Change Email
a. Toward the bottom of the page
6. Click Save
- The FERPA section on your Common Application MUST be completed for each school before you can request a transcript.

2. Click on “Match Accounts” and
follow the prompts

3. Click Edit and select “I’ll submit my application”...
Choose “Via Common App”ONLY if you are using Common App for that specific college
*Submission Type should be CA for all Common App requests.
Requesting Recommendation Letters

- Before requesting a letter of recommendations, please be sure to ask your teacher first!
- Make sure to give them enough time to write the letter (at least two weeks)!
- Not all colleges require a letter of recommendation, so please check!- Complete a Letter of Recommendation Self Assessment form and give to
your recommender (NHS Guidance College Planning Letter of Recommendation Self Assessment Form)

1. Click on the “Colleges” tab
2. Click on “Apply to College”
** NOTE: Not all colleges require recommendation letters!**

5. Complete the info and “Submit”
** Allow at least two weeks for the recommendation letter to be completed!**
