Shantanu leads the Venture team across Ashoka in South Asia as well as the strategy for the Search and Selection of Social Entrepreneurs across 12 countries in Asia. Shantanu came to India through the IDEX Global Fellowship program, an accelerator in Social Entrepreneurship for early stage professionals. Prior to this, Shantanu has worked for aid organisations in various capacities and founded the Save the Children Australia Youth Movement. He started his own organisation for Youth Mentorship and Youth Empowerment in Australia and has also extensively worked in the space of Youth Mental Health. Shantanu is an ASEFEdu alumnus.

Sharifah Adila is a single mother of two, both her children have autism. She is also a sister to a brother with autism. She has spent a majority of her life advocating for autism and emphasises the importance of a strong family support system in any person's life. Sharifah Adila has dedicated her life to ensuring the empowerment of individuals with autism and is also a strong and active youth advocate in her community. She is currently the Vice Secretary and the Deputy Director of Administration of her NGO. She has a background in training for Rights Protection and Legislation and in Professional Communications and Media. Sharifah Adila is an ASEFEdu alumnus.

Ross was born, raised, and educated in Hong Kong, China. He is a student of the Erasmus Mundus Master in Global Studies. Ross started his career in corporate financing and then moved into research on social entrepreneurship. He has completed research projects on service leadership, voiceless groups, and university graduate entrepreneurship in Hong Kong. Ross has also volunteered at the Beijing Olympic Games, the Shanghai World Expo and served at the International House of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Ross is an ASEFEdu alumnus.

Costas is a European Law School graduate at Maastricht University and is currently completing his Master’s degree in Globalisation and Law at the same university. Costas also serves a Policy Advisor on Internationalisation at Maastricht University. He is a World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) Fellow under the WISE Learners Programme, which focuses on developing projects related to education in emergencies. He has done extensive field work in supporting refugees on the Greek island of Lesvos. He also serves as a Board Member of the Youth Peace Ambassadors Network (YPAN) and is part of a pilot project that aims to introduce Global Citizenship Education within his university. Costas is an ASEFEdu alumnus.

Hailley has a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media (Honours) from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai. She is currently pursuing her MBA, Communication Management, at Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication. Hailey was an international exchange student at the Institut d’Etudes Politques de Paris, and earlier served as Cultural Exchange Ambassador for the Europe meets India programme (EUMInd). She has volunteered for the Udaan India Foundation and AIESEC France and Mumbai, for the latter as a local trainer and national support manager.

Prakriti is an undergraduate student at the Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts with a major in Psychology and a double minor in Law and Economics. Prior to this she spent nine years in Tokyo, Japan. Her interests include topics such as psychopathology and psycho-social behaviour and has organised mental health seminars. Prakriti is currently researching the effects of gender inequality on mental health. She has worked for several NGOs, such as Teach For India, Pionero and U&I, teaching and providing support to underprivileged children.

Raghavendra is a lawyer and researcher. He has previously worked as a researcher with the Centre for the Study of Culture and Society in India and later on education policy and legal compliance at EkStep Foundation in India, an organisation that builds a universal, collaborative platform to re-imagine learning opportunities. Raghavendra is interested in architecture, design and public spaces.

Ms Rosemary SWEENEY

Rosemary works for the Higher Education Authority in Ireland and develops access policies for under-represented groups. She has volunteered for the international development organisation Serve, where she led teams on educational development in the Philippines. She is also a leader in a young Christian community in Dublin and has worked as an advocate for people with disabilities, in particular to accessing employment. Rosemary is an ASEFEdu alumnus.

Keiko is a graduate of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) with a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and Development Studies. She is an experienced young professional in foreign policy with an established track record of public relations around foreign policy, education, and cultural relations in the Asia-Pacific region. Currently based in Tokyo, Keiko works for a start-up addressing barriers to entry in Japan's labour market while running a community of problem-solvers, thinkers, and doers called Social Innovation Japan. Keiko is an ASEFEdu alumnus.

Momoko is a recent graduate with a Master’s degree in Sport and Olympic Studies at Tsukuba International Academy for Sport Studies (TIAS) - University of Tsukuba. Her research focused on physical activity and sport for individuals with disabilities. She currently works for My Gym Japan as a fitness instructor for children up to 13 years old. She has lived in India, Nepal and the United States for most of her life. Momoko is an ASEFEdu alumnus.

Art Museum RIGA BOURSE (LNMA)

Kristine works at the Art Museum RIGA BOURSE as a Curator of Foreign Decorative and Applied Arts and is a Doctoral student at the Latvian Academy of Culture. Her main fields of studies focus on the theory of culture and cultural anthropology. At the museum she has recently started to work with research of the Asian art collection and with the creation of cultural context-based stories for the objects and the permanent exhibition of Asian art. She also curates exhibitions and organises events to promote cross-cultural understanding.

Ieva works as a Consultant on Employment and Social Inclusion within the Sustainable Development Team at the Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Her areas of expertise include social inclusion of vulnerable groups, minority rights, migration and human development. Ieva holds an LL.M in International and European Union Law, and LL.M in Human Rights and was a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School in New York. She gained professional experiences across various sectors, including the Red Cross and in the UN system (UNHCR and UNDP). Ieva is an elected Board Member of the Lithuanians’ Association of Turkey. She is an ASEFEdu alumnus.

Mr Daniel RUIZ VIEJOBUENO

Daniel grew up in a multicultural environment with a Luxembourgish mother and a Spanish father. Daniel studied Liberal Arts with a focus on Politics and Philosophy at the University of Essex. He has chaired the Luxembourg delegation at the Model European Parliament in Vienna in 2014. After leading his high school's student committee in 2013/14, he was elected President of the Society of Luxembourg Students in Britain in the year 2016/17. Daniel is an ASEFEdu alumnus.

Aqeel qualified as a Barrister-at-Law in 2011 and is a Member at the Honourable Society of Gray's Inn in the United Kingdom. After completing the Bar Professional Training Course and Clerking with Honourable Judges at Snaresbrook Crown Court in the United Kingdom, Aqeel proceeded to the USA and obtained a Master of Laws degree specialising in International and Comparative Law from the George Washington University. Upon his return, Aqeel started practicing law in Pakistan and is now a named Partner at ANZ Partners (a Law Firm). Further, having an avid interest in politics and Pakistan’s foreign policy with other nations, Aqeel is a youth member of Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N). He is an ASEFEdu alumnus.

Ms Zuzanna ATANASOW

Zuzanna holds a Master’s degree with honours in Art History from the University of Warsaw. She also studied at the University of Bologna (Drama, Art and Music Studies). Zuzanna graduated from the College of Europe in Natolin with a Master’s degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies, which later became her workplace. Zuzanna has gained work experiences in international cultural institutions such as POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews and the International Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia. Over the last years, she has been working both on art and education-oriented programs with a focus on Polish culture.

Over the past 5 years, she has built up her expertise in project management for EU institutions in skills development, labour mobility, digitisation of recruitment, start-ups and social dialogue policy areas. Liudmila holds a Bachelor’s degree from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing from Liverpool John Moore University. She has been working on international projects for the past 4 years, including marketing and communication strategies in digital media and analysis of audience behavior online for the Rio Olympic Games. Liudmila is an ASEFEdu alumnus.

Ankush is a Research Assistant at the Institute of South Asian Studies at the National University of Singapore, where he focuses on relations between South and Southeast Asia. He graduated from the University of Western Australia, majoring in politics, international relations, and economics. Prior to university, he completed military service in the Singapore Armed Forces as an infantry commander. He was also selected for the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Programme, sponsored by the American State Department. Ramón is a researcher and educator specialized on critical and creative thinking and working through collaborative and experiential processes for citizens empowerment and systemic change. Ramón has worked for Human Rights and Democracy programmes for DARE Network, trainings for trainers and youth as CEO of Learning Designers, coaching and mentoring for changemakers and transformational leaders. He is an ASEFEdu alumnus.

Mr Mikael ERIKSSON

Mikael did his Bachelor in Sociology and Politics with a Minor in China Studies at University College Utrecht in the Netherlands. He completed his Master’s degree in Psychosocial Studies at Birkbeck College in London, interned at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and worked with refugees during the refugee crisis in Sweden. He recently completed a traineeship at the Asia Pacific Department at the European External Action Service.

Ms Karin KRISTENSSON

Sofia is a graduate student enrolled in the Joint Master’s Degree Programme Economic Policies in the Age of Globalization. She currently studies at the University of Turin and completes her first degree in Political Science, followed by a second degree in Economics at the University of Paris 13. Sofia‘s professional and educational background focuses on international relations, business and management, and policy for innovation and knowledge. She is the Swedish Country Representative for the Erasmus Mundus Association. Sofia is an ASEFEdu alumnus.

Ms Carys DUNN

Carys completed her Bachelor’s in International Studies in the Netherlands focusing on Russia and Eurasia. She currently finishes her Master’s degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies at the College of Europe. Additionally, she studied Middle Eastern Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her main areas of interest are on security and defence, conflict resolution, state building, diplomacy and policy analysis. Carys has grown up in a multicultural background, having lived in over 10 countries.
