NAV BHARAT JAGRITI KENDRA NEWS LETTER January-March 2016 www.nbjk.org NBJK Promoting Youths to be Skilled and Employed Recently 23 lakh people applied for 368 posts of peon in the state secretariat of Uttar Pradesh. Among the applicants, 255 candidates with a PhD degree and more than two lakh hold BTech, BSc, MCom & MSc degrees. This episode reflects our mindset and dealing with the youths, our future. 44.79 million Indian youths were unemployed in 2012 and the rate was higher among educated youths than their illiterate counterparts. One out of every three graduates is unemployed in India. In Jharkhand, about 42% households are with unemployed persons. The situation is alarming as unemployment not only has financial impact but also has many social impacts like increase in cases of theft, violence and other criminal activities. With support of Axis Bank Foundation, Mumbai, NBJK has continued and opened Rojgar Training Centers (RTCs) at Hazaribag, Ramgarh, Ranchi (2 centers), Khunti, Koderma, Giridih, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Dumka and Deoghar for skill development training to youths under the Program of Sustainable Livelihood or PSL. RTCs offer short term and practical courses in the trades like computer software/ hardware, cell phone servicing, bedside patient attendant, beautician, driving, agriculture, electrician, call center, tailoring etc. These centers pick up youngsters by mobilizing them for such job oriented courses of only three months duration and attracted a large number of youths feel responsible to support themselves or their families. Most of them are from rural background and a considerable number of women & girls have attained RTCs. The PSL believes in quality training and put effort for team up gradation at each RTC. Initially the program team has focused upon standardization of curriculum, study material, documents and process to make those simple and practical. The center personnel went through refresher training and have been provided ToT on personality development, time & resource management, decision making, conflict management, communication, humane values and SWOT analysis. They demonstrate these skills before students at their centers. Also RTCs have introduced soft skill classes for youth trainees and the center at Piska More (Ranchi) has started Yoga classes for youths to keep them fit. The program initiates for placement and self employment of the trainees. On 20th February, a Rojgar Mela (Placement Fair) was organized at Ranchi. Around 150 youths trained at RTCs have joined the event represented with HR people of 22 employers like Annapurna Finance, Arohan Finance, DigiCall, Videocon, Excel Data Services, Akash Enterprises, Excel International, ANI Com, Eureka Forbes, Bread & Butter etc. to select eligible candidates and more than 100 youths have been shortlisted for different positions by the companies. On 14 March, RTC Jamshedpur has organized the same event with support of 20 employer companies and 102 trainees have been shortlisted for jobs. During the period of Oct’14 to Feb’16, these RTCs could be able to secure placement for 61% pass outs together under the PSL and contributed various job oriented skills to 5734 youths; ensured placement for 2076 and 1431 pass outs are self-employed. dk S 'ky vk S j jk s txkj gs rq ;q okvk s a dk s çk s Rlkgu T;knk fnu ugha gq ,] mÙkj çns 'k jkT; lfpoky; es a pijklh in ds 368 fjfä;ks a gs rq 23 yk[k yks xks a us vkos nu fn;k Fkk- vkos ndks a es a 255 vH;FkhZ ih,pMh Fks vkS j 2 yk[k ls T;knk chVs d] ch,llh] ,edW e vkS j ,e,llh ds fMxz h/kkjh Hkh 'kkfey Fks - ;g ?kVuk ;q okvks a ds çfr gekjh lks p vkS j joS ;s dks n'kkZ rh gS ] tks gekjs Hkfo"; gS a - o"kZ 2012 es a yxHkx lk<+ s pkj djks M+ Hkkjrh; ;q ok cs jks txkj Fks vkS j i<+ s &fy[ks ukS tokuks a es a cs jks txkjh dh nj fuj{kjks a ls T;knk gS - çR;s d rhu Hkkjrh; Lukrdks a es a ,d cs jks txkj gS - >kj[k.M ds 42% ?kjks a es a cs jks txkjks a dk cks > gS - ,s lh fLFkfr [krjs dh ps rkouh gS D;ks a fd cs jks txkjh dk flQZ vkfFkZ d çHkko ugha iM+ rk cfYd lkekftd :i ls Hkh pks jh] fga lk rFkk vU; vkijkf/kd ?kVukvks a es a o` f) gks us yxrh gS - ,fDll cS a d Qkma Ms 'ku] eq a cbZ ds lg;ks x ls u- Hkk- tk- ds Uæ us gtkjhckx] jkex<+ ] jka ph] [kw a Vh] dks Mjek] fxfjMhg] /kuckn] te'ks niq j] nq edk vkS j ns o?kj es a ;q okvks a ds chp LFkk;h vkthfodk dk;Z Øe va rxZ r dkS 'ky fodkl çks Rlkgu ds s '; ls jks txkj çf'k{k.k ds a æks a dks tkjh j[kk vkS j [kks yk gS - jks - ç- ds a æks a }kjk da I;w Vj lW k¶Vos ;j&gkMZ os ;j] ls yQks u ejEer] cs MlkbM is 'ks a V vVs a Ms a V] C;w fVf'k;u] Mª kbfoa x] d` f"k] bys DVª hf'k;u] dkW y ls UVj] Vs yfja x vkfn fofHkUu Vª s M~ l es a Nks Vh vof/k ds O;kogkfjd dks lZ djok, tkrs gS a - ;s çf'k{k.k ds a æ flQZ rhu ekg dh vof/k okys bu jks txkjijd ikB~ Øeks a es a ukeka du gs rq ;q okvks a dks çks Rlkfgr djrs gS a vkS j bUgks a us cM+ h la [;k es a ,s ls yM+ ds &yM+ fd;ks a dks vkdf"kZ r fd;k gS ] tks Lo;a vFkok ifjokj dks lg;ks x djus dh bPNk j[krs gS a - bues a vf/kdka 'k xz keh.k i` "BHkw fe ls vkrs gS a vkS j cM+ h la [;k es a cfPp;ks a &efgykvks a us Hkh jks - ç- ds a æ ls çf'k{k.k çkIr fd;k gS - LFkk;h vkthfodk dk;Z Øe es a çR;s d jks txkj çf'k{k.k ds a æ ij çf'k{kdks a vkS j çf'k{k.k dh xq .koÙkk ij fo'ks "k /;ku fn;k tkrk gS - 'kq : es a bl dk;Z Øe ds rgr ikB~ Øe] v/;;u lkexz h] nLrkos tks a vkS j çfØ;k ds ekudhdj.k }kjk mUgs a ljy vkS j O;kogkfjd cuk;k x;k Fkk- jks - ç- ds a ædfeZ ;ks a dks fjÝs 'kj çf'k{k.k vkS j çf'k{kdks a ds çf'k{k.k tS lh xfrfof/k;ks a ds ek/;e ls O;fäRo fodkl] le;&la lk/ku çca /ku] fu.kZ ; çfØ;k] xfrjks /k lek/kku] la okn] ekuoh; ew Y; vkS j Loks V fo'ys "k.k ls ifjfpr djk;k x;k] ftudk mi;ks x os vius ds Uæks a ij çf'k{kq vks a dks cs grj cukus es a djrs gS a - ;s jks - ç- ds vius ;gk¡ ;q okvks a gs rq lkW ¶V fLdy d{kkvks a dk vk;ks tu djrs gS a vkS j fiLdk eks M+ ¼jka ph½ fLFkr ds a æ us ;ks x d{kkvks a dh 'kq :vkr dj çf'k{kq vks a dks fQV j[kus dk ç;kl Hkh fd;k gS - bl dk;Z Øe }kjk ;q okvks a ds fu;ks tu vkS j Lojks txkj dh igy gks rh gS - 20 Qjojh dks jka ph es a ,d jks txkj es yk dk vk;ks tu fd;k x;k Fkk] ftles a jks - ç- ds Uæks a }kjk çf'kf{kr yxHkx 150 ukS toku yM+ ds &yM+ fd;ka 'kkfey gq ,- bl es yk es a ;ks X; mEehnokjks a dks pq uus ds fy, vUuiw .kkZ Qkbus a l] vkjks gu Qkbus a l] fMthdkW y] ohfM;ks dW ku] ,Dls y MkVk lfoZ ls t] vkdk'k ba Vjçkbts t] ,Dls y ba Vjus 'kuy] , ,u vkb dW ke] ,ftl] ;w js dk Qks cZ ~ l] cz s M ,a M cVj vkfn 22 fu;ks äkvks a ds çfrfuf/kx.k ekS tw n Fks vkS j bu dEifu;ks a }kjk fofHkUu inks a ds fy, 100 ls vf/kd ;q okvks a dk p;u gq vk gS - 14 ekpZ dks jks - ç- ds Uæ] te'ks niq j dh vks j ls Hkh ,d ,s lk vk;ks tu fd;k x;k Fkk] ftles a 20 fu;ks äkvks a us 102 çf'k{kq vks a dks dke ns us dh is 'kd'k fd;k gS - LFkk;h vkthfodk dk;Z Øe va rxZ r jks txkj çf'k{k.k ds Uæks a }kjk vDVw cj*14 ls Qjojh*16 dh vof/k es a vius 61% çf'k{kq vks a dks fu;ks ftr djus es a lQyrk feyh gS - bUgks a us 5734 ;q okvks a dks fofHkUu jks txkjew yd dkS 'kyks a dk çf'k{k.k fn;k gS ] ftues a 2076 dk fu;ks tu gks pq dk gS vkS j çf'k{k.k çkIr 1431 ;q okvks a us Lojks txkj ls tq M+ uk T;knk mfpr le>k- uo Hkkjr tkx`fr dsUnz lwpuk i= tuojh & ekpZ 2016 Since 1971 Putting the Last First
