Our vision
• To enhance community life through broad par?cipa?on in the Parish Cricket Club • To inspire the next genera?on of youth cricket, to ensure con?nuity for the club,
its history & role in the community • To rebuild to 1990s ‘hey day’ of NCC – to host notable matches, to bring people to
the area, raising awareness/interest in the game
Our ambi?on • To raise funding to execute a number of projects to achieve our vision -‐ £120k • To build a new Pavilion – the star?ng point! • Improved net facili?es (more structured coaching), provide youth coaching
bursaries to SCCC, an improvement in the general amenity • But first… we need to raise the funds…
The state of play
• Our current pavilion is over 50 years old • Dilapidated and roYen – outlasted useful life • Uneconomic to repair • 2-‐3 year fund raising ?me scale – approx £120k
The ravages of ?me, weather and fragile construc?on have overwhelmed the structure
Our ambi?on – inspired by Aston Ingham CC, Herefordshire
The new facili?es
The minimum • Home & away changing rooms • Shower & toilet sanitary facili?es • Tea room • Galley kitchen
Modest upgrade providing for • Well presented adjacent general amenity • Storage -‐ youth training equipment, club kit • Storage -‐ perimeter protec?on neang & poles, mowers & maintenance kit • Covered veranda – aYrac?ve shelter for spectators, the baang side and scorers during
adverse weather (yes… we do play in the rain!)

Milestones
• Raise a minimum of £50,000 (see later for plans) • Once confident of comple?ng the build within 12 months • Apply for planning permission (expires within 3 years) • Apply for major corporate grant -‐ £47,500 • Call on ‘friends’ of NCC to donate ?me to help with components of the
construc?on • New pavilion in situ ready for use Spring 2015 (2 years out, earliest) or Spring
2016 (3 years out, central case)

Our strategy – how we will raise the funds
• Formed a fund raising commiYee led by Kevin Barnes, Chairman – Developed a sales document invi?ng support – Distributed through LINK in May 2013
• Concluded the build out of the club website (free; www.nuthurstcricketclub.co.uk) – Provides full transparency on club cons?tu?on, insurance and legal documenta?on – Youth scheme – coaching qualifica?ons, welfare officers and programme – Updates on fund raising plans and progress – Historical photographs and reports – Records of fixtures, results and season sta?s?cs

• Gios – for every £1 the club can reclaim 25 pence in Gio Aid (with your permission) – £25 gioed -‐ £31.25 received by the club (£6.25 topped up by HMRC) – £100 -‐ £125 received (£25 topped up by HMRC) – £500 -‐ £625 received (£125 topped up by HMRC) – £1000 -‐ £1,250 received (£250 topped up by HMRC) – And so on…
