Fire Safety Verification Method

Enactment date: 1 May 2020

abcb.gov.au

Fire Safety Verification Method

• The Verification Method states that the Performance Solution is to be developed by a fire safety engineer

• Requires development of a Performance Based Design Brief (PBDB) to ensure collaboration between all stakeholders

• Specifies design fire scenarios that must be considered• In all cases, equivalence with Deemed-to-Satisfy

Provisions must be demonstrated

abcb.gov.au

Fire Safety Verification Method

• Specific education program (mid 2019)• Will be supported by a comprehensive handbook• 2020 NCC Information Seminars (early 2020)
