Congress and Exhibition
Invitation
Digitization as megatrend of our time has a huge impact on almost all areas of life. In medicine, the development of information technology has arrived and opened up a variety of innovative care processes, treatment routes and services that benefit patients, providers and the entire healthcare sector. Therefore, Digital Health is the focus of the congress ”Medizin Innovativ - MedTech Summit 2016”. Interesting presentations and discussions will provide insight into the opportunities and challenges of digitization in the medical sector: from using innovative technologies in hospitals and new opportunities for knowledge sharing and networking to mobile applications through wearables. Moreover, the two-day event will highlight the process of developing an idea into a marketable medical device. The congress provides participants and especially young companies and start-ups valuable information about innovation, financing, regulation and commercialization.
Since 2008, the congress has evolved to become an important meeting place for the healthcare industry with some 1,000 participants. The combination of scientific and market-relevant presentations, an accompanying exhibition with over 100 exhibitors and an interactive community corner offer various opportunities for networking.
For the first time, the Medical Valley EMN has contributed to designing the content of the congress and integrated its ”Medical Valley Summit” into the event. As in recent years, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will present its own series of presentations and a poster exhibition at the congress as the platform for the ”ProMatLeben” research symposium.
The congress receives special support from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology.
Seize the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts from innovative companies and institutions to get up to date on technology trends and application scenarios and get valuable inspiration.
We invite you to participate and look forward to seeing you in Nuremberg.

Composition of Participants
The variety of participants from company representatives to scientists and clinical users is a unique feature of the congress.
“What is special about the congress is the easy interaction between visitors and exhibitors and the straightforward exchanging of information compared to other trade fairs. For us participation in the congress is a confirmation that we are hitting the zeitgeist, understand the industry and are able to communicate across various interdisciplinary sectors.”
Rainer Hauff Key Account Manager, bebro electronic
“Two very excellent days of congress. The exhibition repeatedly gave us the opportunity to engage in top-class discussions with visitors and speakers. I also liked the compact form of the congress: You can use all network offers and attend one or more presentations.”
Johannes P.G. Atze CEO, CAT PRODUCTION
“We have participated as exhibitors and visitors since the first congress. It is one of the major
annual events for us and will continue to be so mainly because the focus is on medical technology.
We meet exactly the right exhibitors and visitors from this field and have the opportunity to develop
and extend our network for two days. Also, we greatly appreciate the conference aspect.”
Ralph Steidl CEO, ASTRUM IT
