NCHD Quetta celebrated “Salam Teachers’ Day” on October 22, 2010 in collaboration with Provincial Education Department, UNESCO and Save the Children. The purpose was to recognize the role of teachers in nation building. Minister for Education Balochistan Mr. Tahir Mehmood Khan was the chief guest at the occasion. Various other invitees include Ms. Roshan Khurshid Barucha Board Member NCHD, Additional Secretary education Mr. Saleem Sadiq, Director Schools Mr. Abdul Kareem, and President of the Teachers’ Union Mr. Nawaz Jhatak. Other participants include teachers, government officials, representatives of UNESCO and Save the Children and various, media personals, and students from various educational institutions. The provincial education minister highlighted the initiatives taken by his government for the betterment of teachers. He also praised NCHD for organizing such events to recognize role of teachers in society. At this occasion, 26 best teachers were awarded with the shields and cash award.

NCHD Quetta celebrated “Salam Teachers’ Day” on October 22, 2010 in collaboration with Provincial Education Department, UNESCO and Save the Children.
