Jingle Bell Ball!The Jingle Bell Ball is the GSN's annual semi-formal holiday dance. This year's event will beheld on Friday, December 1 at "The Vault," avenue located in the Whiskey Exchangedowntown. Heavy appetizers will be served, anda live DJ will be present, so make sure to wearyour dancing shoes! All graduate/professionalstudents and postdocs, and their partners,spouses, or significant others are welcome at thisevent. The inaugural Colleges ofScience and Engineering -Joint Annual Meeting(COSE-JAM) for GraduateStudents and PostdoctoralFellows will take place inJordan Hall on Friday,December 8, 2017. This will occur inconjunction with the IDEA Center, Office forPostdoctoral Scholars, Graduate CareerServices, and Office of Grants and Fellowships,who will have representatives available to offerdevelopment counseling, CV advice, andinformation about research funding opportunities.COSE-JAM aims to highlight the achievements ofgraduate and postdoctoral researchers, fosterinterdisciplinary collaborations, and providementoring about careers.

Council of American OverseasResearch Centers PostdocFellowship Applications are nowavailable for theCAORC NEH SeniorResearch Fellowship! This fellowship supportsadvanced research in the humanities forUS postdoctoral scholars, and foreign nationalpostdoctoral scholars who have been residentsin the US for three or more years.

Fellows carry out research in a country whichhosts a participating American overseasresearch center. Eligible countries: Algeria,Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Cyprus,Georgia, Indonesia, Mexico, Mongolia,Morocco, Nepal, Senegal, Sri Lanka andTunisia.
