The Indonesian Palm Oil Platform and the National Action Plan Palm Indonesia Oil: FoKSBI is the multi-stakeholder Indonesia sustainable palm oil platform, led by the government and facilitated by UNDP’s Sustainable Palm Oil initiative (SPOI). It provides a neutral space for stakeholders to come together and address key challenges in the development of sustainable palm oil in Indonesia. FoKSBI’s main task is to develop the National Action Plan (NAP) for Sustainable Palm Oil, and to monitor its implementation. FoKSBI’s Steering Committee is led by The Deputy for Food and Agriculture, Coordinating Ministry of Economic Aairs, with Director General of Estate Crops, Ministry of Agriculture as the co-chair. Smallholder certication and market access The National Action Plan Based on their ndings, the working groups then drafted the National Action Plan and in 2017, the Platform facilitated widespread consultations with government, civil society, the private sector both nationally and internationally on the draft National Action Plan. 3 District Platforms: ・ In Sintang, South Tapanuli and Pelalawan.

Getting Behind Indonesia’s National Action Plan Under the coordination of the government, the private sector and donors can use Indonesia’s National

Action Plan and those being developed at the regional and district levels as a reference for their contribution and commitment towards sustainable palm oil in the country.

In addition to the national FoKSBI Platform, to tailor solutions to the specific challenges faced by different palm oil producing areas across Indonesia, six platforms are now operating at different administrative levels in the country.

These provincial and district platforms are responsible for developing their own action plans, which are derived from the NAP.
