Many customers continue to request information on the difference of Made in Italy compared to 100% Made in Italy. We feel obliged to carefully specify following rules. Made in Italy is defined in article 36 of Regulation (EC) No. 450/2008 (Community Customs Code). The content is within the definition of "last substantial transformation", which stands for the substantial 51%. So, Made in Italy is a custom indication, like the Made in France, Made in Germany, Made in Turkey, etc., and is used to define which country was carried out mainly manufacturing and finishing. The Italian legislator has decided to give the "value" Made in Italy "100% Made in Italy", by adopting the Law 166/2009. For 100% Made in Italy means the product or goods made entirely in Italy.These products and these goods may have the indication of sale, such as 100% Made in Italy. The purpose of the law is therefore to make sure that the system can have an Italian brand, a brand that expresses the true value of Made in Italy throughout the entire production in Italy; not only that, we want to reaffirm clearly and strong over the origin, quality, exclusivity and Italian excellence.

Needless to say, on the one hand, we have a Custom indication same for the whole world (Made in Italy), on the other we have a "brand system" at service of the Italian productive system (100% Made in Italy). In the future, companies will have to be transparent in their statements, particularly those that are making quality product entirely in Italy, because they will be the only ones able to document that they meet the quality and origin, to be able to adopt this new "brand system", which will ensure the brand and qualify the individual companies. (the label made in Italy today can be used by any manufacturer and trader without following any procedure or any control) Differently to the Made in Italy, 100% Made in Italy provides for sanctions and very strict controls, to ensure that there is range of highly qualified companies that can positively represent the Italian productive system and compete with the big international brands in the world.
