How Teachers Are Trained The teachers have taken three courses to learn how to teach the children’s classes, using training materials from the Ruhi Institute. How Many Children As of April 2006, there were 10,312 of these children’s classes around the world, in every continent, with 93,066 children attending. More than half of the children (51,930) are from families that are not members of the Bahá’í Faith. The classes range in size from the children of a single family to those of an entire neighbourhood or village. These “gems” are the spiritual qualities that are latent in the soul of every person. Children’s classes help the children to discover and polish these gems from an early age and apply what they learn to everyday life.
