NEPAL DARSHAN COMMUNITY BOARDING SCHOOL, GANGKHARKA:

Pemba Nima Sherpa (9 y.o.) and Dawa Tshering Sherpa (6 y.o.) were born in India. Their mother died, father lives in India and works as a shopkeeper. They went to Panchayan School in Kathmandu for 4 years, but like Nepal Darshan Community Boarding School more. Dawa suffers from ear problems. Pemba Nima wants to be a nurse when she grows up, and Dawa Tshering wants to be a teacher.

Lakpa Dorjee Lama (11 y.o.) and Lakpa Chitup Lama (8 y.o.) are from Helambu region. They have one sister and two other brothers who still study in Kathmandu. Lakpa Dorjee and Lakpa Chitup spent one year in Pachayan School. Their father lives and works in Korea and their mother is in Israel. They both want to be teachers when they grow up.

Pema Rinzing Sherpa (6 y.o.) and Tsheten Sherpa (10 y.o.) are cousins. They come from Okrene village, one day walking distance from Gangkharka. Tsheten's mother lives and works in Oman and her father works in the village as a thangka painter. She wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She studied in Panchayan School in Kathmandu for one year before coming to Nepal Darshan Community Boarding School. Pema's mother is unknown, his father works in the USA. The boy wants to be a pilot.

Karma Sherpa (9 y.o.) is from Gangkharka village. He has one sister who studies at Panchayan School in Kathmandu. He spent three years in Panchayan school. His mother works in Israel, his father in Saudi Arabia. Karma prefers Gangkharka over Kathmandu because of the natural beauty of the village. When he grows up, he wants to be a national football player.

Chiring Lama (10 y.o.) is from Helambu region. He doesn't have any brothers or sisters. His father lives and works in Qatar and his mother in Oman. He saw her two years ago. He spent three years in Panchayan School in Kathmandu and he is very happy to be in Nepal Darshan Community Boarding School. When he grows up, Chiring wants to be an international pilot.

Sangey Shundup Lama (11 y.o.) and Pema Tsering Lama (10 y.o.) are from Tarkegyang village in Helambu region. They have one older sister. Their father is a shopkeeper in India, their mother is a housewife. Sangey Shundup suffers from meningitis, but doesn't take any medicine, because the family can't afford it. When he grows up, he wants to be a pilot, and his brother wants to be in the Indian army.

Lakpa Tshiring Lama (12 y.o.) and Ang Babu Lama (9 y.o.) are from Tchipleng village, one day walk from the school. Their parents work as farmers in the village. The boys have two older brothers. One of them is in Panchayan school where Lakpa Tshiring and Ang Babu spent six months before joining Nepal Darshan Community Boarding School. Lakpa Tschiring wants to be a singer when he grows up and Ang Babu wants to be an English teacher.

Sonu Lama (7 y.o.) is from Tchipleng village. He is the only child and his parents live in India. His father works there as a construction worker and his mother is a housewife. Sonu wants to be a national football player when he grows up.

Tshering Lama (15 y.o.) and Ranzing Lama (8 y.o.) are brothers. They come from Thalo village. Their father works as an artist and their mother lives and works in Israel. They have one sister. They spent one year in Panchayan School in Kathmandu but they prefer Nepal Darshan Community Boarding School. They both want to be artists when they grow up, just like their father.

Rigchen Lama (8 y.o.) and Lhachen Lama (7 y.o.) are from Chemmi village in Helambu region. Their father works as an artist in Pokhara, and their mother lives and works in Israel. The girls stayed in Panchayan School in Kathmandu for two years. When they grow up, Lhachen wants to be a dancer and Rigchen an eye doctor.

Ang Dolma Lama (9 y.o.) is from Menja village. Her dad is an artist and lives in the village, her mother works in Israel. Ang Dolma went to Panchayan School in Kathmandu for two years before joining Nepal Darshan Community Boarding School. She likes music and when she grows up, she wants to be a dancer.

Rohit Shrestha (8 y.o.) is from Thulopakhar village. He has two older sisters. His parents work in a carpet factory in Kathmandu. He attended in Panchayan School for two years. When he grows up, he wants to be a doctor.

Sunam Lama (10 y.o.) is from Jalsha village in Helambu region. His parents live in Kathmandu and work in a hotel. He has one older brother. Sunam likes music and wants to be a singer when he grows up.

Pema Dhundup Sherpa (9 y.o.) is from Pangdang village, one day walking distance from Gangkharka. His parents live in India, where his father works as a driver. He has a little sister who also lives in India. Before joining Nepal Darshan Community Boarding School, he spent one year in Panchayan School in Kathmandu. When he grows up, Pema Dhundup wants to be a badminton player.

Yanzing Sherpa (9 y.o.) and Nima Sanjey Sherpa (5 y.o.) are from Tatopani village. Their mother lives and works in Israel, their father works as a broker in the village. They have two brothers, of which one lives in India. When they grow up, Yanzing wants to be an English teacher and Nima Sanjey – a doctor.

Sonam Sherpa (8 y.o.) is from Gangkharka village. His parents are divorced, his mother lives in India and his father in Dubai. Sonam spent two years in Panchayan School in Kathmandu. He wants to be a doctor when he grows up.

Ramesh Tamang (7 y.o.) and Mingma Tamang (8 y.o.) are from Jatan village in Sindupalchok district. Their father works in Saudi Arabia and their mother in Lebanon. The children spent one year in Panchayan School in Kathmandu before joining Nepal Darshan Community Boarding School. They both want to be teachers when they grow up.

Mingmar Sherpa (5 y.o.) is from Gangkharka village. His father works as a driver in Kathmandu. Mingmar has one older brother who studies in a monastery in Kathmandu. The boy spent one year in Panchayan School in Kathmandu before joining Nepal Darshan Community Boarding School. When he grows up, he wants to be a painter.

Kamala Tamang (10 y.o.), Bimala Tamang (12 y.o.) and Sunil Tamang (7 y.o.) come from Sindupalchok district. Their parents live in Kathmandu where their father works for Nepalese Army. The children like Nepal Darshan Community Boarding School a lot. When they grow up, Bimala wants to be a teacher and Kamala – a singer.

Amar Bahadur Tamang (9 y.o.) is from Taramarang village. His parents live with his little brother in the village where they work as farmers. His other older brother lives in Kathmandu. Amar Bahadur wants to be a trekking guide when he grows up.

Their father works as a contractor in Kathmandu, their mother is in Lebanon. When they grow up, Sangbu wants to be a football player and Mingmar – a doctor.

Shyamba Tamang (7 y.o.) is from Sindupalchok district. His parents live in the village and work as farmers. Shyamba has two older brothers and one sister. He wants to be a volleyball player when he grows up.

Samila Tamang (5 y.o.) is from Tamarang village, where her parents work as farmers. She is the only child. She wants to be a teacher when she grows up.

Aisharya Tamang (5 y.o.) is from Tamarang village. Her father works in Saudi Arabia, her mother is a farmer in the village. Aisharya is the only child. When she grows up, she wants to be a swimmer.

Arjun Lama (10 y.o.) is from Pheda village in Dolakha district. His parents work as farmers and his older brother goes to school in the village. Arjun wants to be a pilot when he grows up.

Chiring Tamang (9 y.o.), Kale Tamang (8 y.o.) and Sumil Tamang (6 y.o.) are from Kyul village in Helambu region. Their parents are farmers in the village. When they grow up, Chiring wants to be a doctor and Kale – a football player.

Pasang Gelpo Sherpa (6 y.o.) is from Gangkharka village. He has three older brothers and one sister. His father is a farmer in the village and his mother works in Lebanon. When he grows up, Pasang Gelpo wants to be a doctor.

Sudip Rai (9 y.o.) is from Pokhara. He is the only child. His father works in Qatar and his mother is an agent in Kathmandu. When he grows up, Sudip wants to be a teacher.

Bizaya Tamang (9 y.o.) and Ang Tshering (5 y.o.) are cousins from Okrani village. Bizaya's parents live in Kathmandu and work in a hotel. He has two older sisters and one brother. He wants to be a doctor when he grows up. Ang is the only child. His father lives in Boudnath and works as an artist. His mother works in Kuwait.

Dolma Sherpa (13 y.o.) is from Ripar village. She never went to school before. Her parents are farmers in the village. She has two older sisters who are married and two older brothers. When she grows up, Dolma wants to be a teacher and work in Nepal Darshan Community Boarding School.

Norsang Sherpa (12 y.o.) and Angtandi Sherpa (9 y.o.) are brothers from Tatopani village in Sidupalchok district. They come from a poor family, their father is a businessman and their mother is a housewife. They have one older brother who studies in a monastery in Boudnath. They also have four sisters. They love their new school. When they grow up, Norsang wants to be a doctor and Angtandi wants to be a pilot.

Soni Maya tamang (8 y.o.) and Pamp Maya Tamang (9 y.o.) are from Sonchaur village in Sidupalchok district. Their father is a farmer, their mother is dead. They have three brothers of which one studies in India and the other one lives with his father, and two older sisters who are married.

Nisa Yonjan (3 y.o.) goes to pre-nursery class. She comes from Bhusapheda village in Dolakha district. Her parents are divorced, her mother lives in the village and works in a carpet factory.

Buddha Ghising (10 y.o.) and Soni Ghising (6 y.o.) is from Bhusapheda village in Dolakha district. Their father is head cook at Nepal Darshan Community Boarding School and their mother also works there as a housekeeper.

Sunita Sangbo Tamang (9 y.o.) is from Angry village in Sidupalchok district. Her parents work as farmers in the village. She has three brothers. In the future she wants to be a good teacher.

Amir Tamang (10 y.o.) and Anil Tamang (8 y.o.) are from Angry village in Sidupalchok district. Their parents work in the village as farmers. They have one younger sister. They also want to be teachers when they grow up.
