Grade 7 AEP Homeroom 328Science project GROUP B
Neptune the blue planet This is the planet I chose for this group project. Neptune as you all may or may not know is the almost
new last planet in the solar system. Now Neptune was named after the roman god Neptune
king of sea because of its color . It rotates once every 16 hours so its days are longer then
are days. Also one year on Neptune is exactly 165 earth years .
Neptune the Eighth Planet Neptune has 13 moons known so far. The names are Naiad, Thalassa, Despina, and Galatea, Larissa,
Proteus, Triton , Nereid the last 5 have not been named yet so yea.
Neptune has a 90 degrees rotation. The winds on Neptune blow as fast as 2000kilometers. The methane in the planet gives Neptune its bright blue color. The largest spot, known as the Great Dark Spot, is about the
size of the earth and is similar to the Great Red Spot on Jupiter.
Fast Facts on the Great Neptune Neptune was named after the roman god. It is the eighth planet in the solar
system. The wind on Neptune blow as fast as 2000 kilometers. It rotates once every 16 hours. The methane gives Neptune its color. A year on Neptune lasts for 165 earth years. Neptune is 49500 kilometers in diameter four times
