WEATHERLas Vegas is known for its hot summers and moderate winters. Average September temperatures range from a low of 66° F to a high of 93° F. Although September might still see some high daytime temperatures, we recommend that you bring a sweater or jacket when in the labs or sessions and for evening outdoor activities. ATTIREBusiness-casual attire is appropriate for all business meetings. For the Appreciation Event at Mandalay Bay Beach, we recommend casual attire suitable for a beach environment.

REGISTRATION AND NAME BADGEThe registration desk is located in the Bayside Foyer on the first floor of the South Convention Center.

You’ll be required to show photo ID when collecting your name badge, and to wear this name badge and lanyard at all times throughout the conference—including at the Appreciation Event at the Mandalay Bay Beach—so you can be readily identified as a participant of NetApp Insight 2016. Attendees arriving at the convention center or Mandalay Bay Beach without their badge will be turned away.

MEALSBreakfast A light continental breakfast will be provided each day in the conference center. Light snacks and refreshments will be available in the morning and afternoon.

LunchLunch is also included. There will be a hot buffet in Insight Central (Bayside A on Monday and Bayside B&C Tuesday through Thursday), and grab-and-go options available in level 2 and 3 foyers of the conference center, at the following times each day:

Special Dietary Requirements: Hot wheat-free and vegetarian meals will be available on the daily buffets. DinnerLight fare will be available on Tuesday at the Networking Reception, and dinner will be available on Wednesday at the Appreciation Event at the Mandalay Bay Beach. Remaining evenings are “on-your-own,” and there’s a wide variety of restaurants throughout Las Vegas from which to choose.

GUEST ATTENDANCENetApp Insight is for registered attendees only. Guests, spouses and other family members won’t be admitted to NetApp Insight meetings, sessions or Insight Central. Customers and partners only may purchase a guest pass for the Wednesday evening Appreciation Event and collect it at Materials Pick Up starting Sunday at noon in the Mandalay Bay Foyer on level 2 of the South Convention Center. The limit is two passes per person, and the guest must be 21 years or older. The cost is $195 per pass.

TRAVEL TIPSLUGGAGE ALLOWANCE AND IDENTIFICATIONAirline passengers may carry one bag plus one smaller personal item on board the airplane. Personal items include purses, briefcases, cameras, food containers and laptops. These items must fit under your seat or in the overhead compartment. To ensure your luggage is handled carefully and safely, please label it with your contact information.

We suggest you pack valuables such as jewelry, medication and other valuables in your carry-on luggage. Airline insurance does not cover lost jewelry or camera equipment.

TSA TIPS TO EXPEDITE BOARDING• Remember the 3-1-1 liquids rule for carry-on baggage: You’re allowed to carry on-board the plane one (1) resealable plastic bag

of one (1) quart capacity with travel-sized containers of 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less per item for all your liquids, aerosols, gels, cream and pastes. Liquid and related items in containers larger than 3.4 ounces must be in your checked baggage.

• Don’t put film in your checked baggage, as the screening equipment will damage it.

• Consider putting personal belongings in clear plastic bags to reduce the chance that a TSA screener will have to handle them.

• Pack shoes, boots, sneakers and other footwear on top of the other contents in your luggage.

• Avoid over-packing your bag so the screener can easily reseal it if it’s opened for inspection.

• If possible, spread your contents over several bags.

• Avoid packing food and drink items in checked baggage.

We suggest that you lock your checked baggage with a TSA-accepted and recognized lock. TSA screeners can gain access to bags with these locks without damaging your bag or lock. Other locks may need to be cut if a physical inspection is required. See www.tsa.gov/public.
