A James Naismith, James Naismith also invented Men’s Basketball and was asked to come up with a women's version of the sport. So in 1891 at the age of 30 he invented netball.

POSITIONSIn a netball game there are 14 players 7 from each side each player has a specific job POSITIONSC- Centre, the C job is to start with ball and move throughout the court ready to get

any pass possible.

WA-Wing Attack, the WA job is to take the centre pass off and work with the C to get the ball towards the goal.

WD-Wind Defence, the WD job is to try to stop the ball from getting towards the oppositions goal, they also have to drive the ball towards there goal

GA- Goal Attack, the GA job is to help goal shoot out in the circle to get a goal and to stop the opposition team from getting the ball

GD- Goal Defence, GD job is to try and stop the other teams GA from getting a goal and helping the GK by trying to stop the ball from getting in the circle.

GS- Goal Shoot, GS job is to shoot most of the goals and help the GA out as well

GK-Goal Keep, GK main job is to stop the other teams GS from getting the ball and shooting.
